Updated Information in the first post. Pricing is Finalized. Shipping rates are estimated, but we'll adjust them soon.

All credit for the case goes to Rama :). We're hyped to get this ball rolling.

The first post has been updated to support 1 split layout. The split spacebar is: 1.25, 1.25, 1.25, 2.75, 1.25, 2.25, 1.5, 1.5.

Here it is:

Show Image

Does it have stepped caps support or not?

Sorry, yes it does ;). Updated in the first post.

Awww yes. Love it!

Would it also support 1.25, 1.25, 1.25, 2.75, 1.25, 2.25, 1 ,1 , 1 or are there shared traces that would prevent that?

Sorry, it doesn't support that :(

No biggie, I just saw the 3x1u with the 7u and 6.25u layout, so I thought you might have missed it/not thought about it.

So, if i buy the case with a nylon base, will it be possible to add an aluminium base to the order? For an extra $20-$30 i wouldn't mind having both to try out the different feelios.

An aluminum base would cost approximately $80.00 if that were the case. I'll review this option as we get closer to the launch period.

Also reviewing the extra plates/PCB options.

Also remember that shipping cost will increase as well since the aluminum base is a good chunk of weight.

Yes, but I am thinking we may opt for those PCB Screw in Stabs from GMK... thoughts? It will be a few more bucks for the proper number that we need.

You're getting a bit mixed up. You need to have bought the GMK Hydro set to get the Hydro Blue JC65. There is no relation to Hyperfuse.

Aww yeeeee! The split space layout option I was hoping for  :thumb:

I'm currently running with 2.25 - 1.25 - 2.75 on my CPSQ and I'm wishing I did it the other way around.

Rose gold, nylon base, split space layout and GMK 9009 are my plans. Can't wait to get a space in the GB

Is the $80 sandwich case included in the price, or is that a separate option?

I should be fine if I want the nylon base  + pcb + shipping, coming out to 275 CONUS right?

Do you think you'll be making another version of this in a TKL layout at some point in the future, or something larger than 65%?  I love the thick rounded case and the rose gold color but also generally prefer the look and use of larger keyboards.

Will definitely flirt the idea with RAMA when he has time to work on it I'd love to offer it in the future. TKL is probably the next best option for a style like this, but knowing Rama, he'd probably want to explore a new design, and not remake the same thing :).

Separate option. And yes, that sounds right. We are stacking half of the PP fees ontop of the pricing so we both eat it. I won't be allowing gift payments to allow for buyer/seller protection n what not. Want everyone to feel comfortable in this GB.

One has an alu weight, the other has a brass one. The alu one was made just to look at however.

We will have photos up for the bottoms once we have the custom rubber molded feet.

I don't think the screws make it look any less than it is. The board has a bold aesthetic and takes many hints from retro, and industrial aesthetics :).

Going to have to disagree on this, but you know, to each his/her own.

I don't mean to take away from the board, it's friggin gorgeous.  And you're right, it really is just my opinion and the only criticism I have of the design. You and Rama have really outdone yourselves! But one of the things that appeals to me about higher-end custom boards is a finished, or "seamless" look.

Holding out for M67-A    :))

Just worked on some M65-A logistics and working on the form.

Questions for those who want to join:

1. Do you want the option for an additional base piece? ($85.00 USD + shipping).
2. Do you want the option for additional plates + pcbs? ($70.00 for additional combo + shipping).

Also, I wanted to remind everyone that R2 is planned, but after R1 is fulfilled. Hydro blue is a R1 exclusive, and we will have a special color planned for R2 that will not be limited with any restriction. :). Hype!

Lastly, Rama and I are working on a special goodie that will be available in addition to the M65-A, but more TBA as we close in on the details.

1. Yes (I like the nylon on the M4-A, but I also want to try aluminium and am too indecisive pass this up)
2. No

1. Possibly, may be too expensive given I live overseas though.
2. Not personally.

I think people were hoping there'd be a config utility like Rama got made for the M4, but I prefer editing keymaps in a text editor and flashing the old fashioned way.

I messaged MACHINE INDUSTRIES about it and can change the PCB for R2 to be with the ATMEGA32U4, but additional variables are in play with the compatibility of the configurator. Unfortunately, R1 will definitely not see this compatibility.

Jchan just take my money. Also tmk pcb when?

Working on the R2 for it ~

Edit: QMK cuz rgb boi.

Will you offer upgrade kits (PCB and maybe plate) for R1 boards with R2 then? I love the ps2avrgb software, but if this has the same inputlag as the VE.A I'd love to upgrade to a QMK PCB later down the road, so I don't have to switch boards for playing specific games. If this will not be available I would probably have to wait for R2 (which, if I think about it, actually would be great for my wallet).

Upgrade packs will be available for R1 supporters once we get it up and running ~. Definitely don't want to screw R1 supporters, but the road is far ahead, and R2 is just like "plans".

Of course, these plans are tentative, but I plan on delivering it and will work towards that ;)

Edit: Type-C anyone? pls. eh we shall see.

Edit: some words.

I'm keen on micro USB usually since I have a bunch of custom cables terminated in that but I'd be down to try C.

Wohoo, great.

To the Type-C thing... if you throw in a cable I wouldn't care ;)
But seriously, getting Type-A to Type-C (or generally any Type-C) cables is still a lot harder than just going with mini or micro USB. I'd say unless you have to get around some limitations, staying with the old standard for another year or two, allowing Type-C to become more common, can't hurt.

Ha I wish. I am actually not even sure I can even afford a single kit.

As a European I might be looking at something like $340 for a kit I think.
