Gons pcb with phantom tkl mounting plate, will it work?
« on: Tue, 27 December 2016, 23:04:45 »
I have been looking around to get a TKL hand built. I have been moving between Gons and phantom parts.

Phantom PCB is only available at mechanicalkeyboards.com and the shipping alone is greater than the price of PCB itself.

The shipping price at Gons is more reasonable, but I could not find any compatibility guide / post for gons pcb.

I have downloaded the phantom mounting plate from deskthority.net and will be using the ANSI 125 layout.

Will this plate work with gons pcb?

I dont see why not, It'll be the same layout. As long as the case youre using fits the gon pcb I dont see where there would be a problem.

The Phantom plate will not work with the Gon PCB. The Phantom Plate spacing between the function row and the number row is greater than the Gon PCB.
Filco Majestouch TKL, Noppoo Choc Mini, Realforce 87 55g, Model M TKL, Ducky Shine 3 TKL, KC60, Planck.

Anywhere I can get the layout design for it?

I have the plate file with me...  But as quoted above, GONS has different spacing for fn row....  And the arrow cluster too is more closer to the main key
