Suggest a keyboard
« on: Sat, 31 December 2016, 13:19:54 »
Hi,

I am looking for a new keyboard for me. I like the MX Blue. Choosing between illuminating and not illuminating.

I found: Filco Ninja Majestouch-2, Ducky Shine 5.. or something from Topre? Like this http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard/usa-topre-realforce-87ub-variable-mini-black-on-black-keyboard.asp ?

I'd like to buy in Europe.

Any more ideas and suggestions?

Thanks.

Maybe a Ducky one. According to this video
they are assembled in Taiwan. The Shine in China which results in a slightly better quality for the one. Cannot say if this is valid for a general assumption.

Ducky lol :D

Take a Leopold or Varmilo (yes in Europe)

http://candykeys.com/ and https://mykeyboard.eu/ are selling Leopold (ISO-DE coming in January)

And http://shop.caps-unlocked.com/category/keyboards for Varmilo. They're selling ISO layout too. Actually the TKL version is coming early January and I think you can probably contact them to buy the VA109M if you want a full size

These are two better option than Filco and D..ucky

What's wrong with Ducky? I'm using mechanical keyboards for a while but in depth I'm fairly new to his topic.

Ducky isn't bad if you want a RGB keyboard(the best brand with Vortex) but for the same price or less you have Leopold and Varmilo which come with stock PBT keycaps (backlight and full magnesium case for the Varmilo). Also, you can buy a Varmilo with gateron switches

The Varmilo looks very interesting indeed. Since I just bought my Pro S I'll keep an eye on Varmilo. Thanks for the hint. :)

The only things I don't  like about the Shine 4/5 RGB is the "Bigfeet" design and that you can't turn off the both Win keys with the Dip switch + the Calculator key on Ducky One.  I have some ISO/Nordic Shine 2/3 and some ANSI Shine 3/4 + 2 ANSI Ducky One.
