Hand wiring LEDs

I want to use a Teensy 2.0, 38 switches and 38 LEDs. What LEDs (based on current, beccause of the 1000 mah limit on USB) should I use for through switch and how would I wire the LEDs? I want to also use white or gold LEDs.

Uses leds of 3mm or leds 2x3x4mm.

If you are going to use them in a teensy, you should program them in the PWM pins, since using them there, you can program them to consume much less amps.


I am now fighting with the programming led for a teensy in TMK, and I will use 93 leds, and if I can, +44 leds more to illuminate the case.

Should I use a seperate controller or just the Teensy?

You'll need to add a resistor for each LED. The resistor value you choose will determine the current through the LED.

I like 1.8mm leds for switches. They fit nicely in the little recess in the switch housing.
