I think my concern stems from the buyer protection.
Since kin will probably not going to run a GB again anytime soon, we will only sell boards that in stock.
It can work like this:
Buyer pays invoice => Probably through a payment processor other than Paypal => Payment confirmation => Receive goods
If dispute:
Send invoice through contact form => Should have answers within 48 hours => If resolved: refund or have a different shipping date; if not you can always charge back through banks since you have the receipt?
Sorry this is like word salad but I’m at work and can’t draw a pic LOL

You can't charge back like that in the US unless the payment is drawn from a credit card.
Oh...
Hmm...
Then I’d advise everyone to pay using a credit card?
I feel like we hit a wall every time I think about this.

Maybe this is a stupid question from someone who's never participated in a group buy, but is it often that someone disputes and/or requests a refund? I figured if its for B-Stock, I buy one, I wait, it comes in, ? , profit?
Am I wrong for assuming that?
GB usually has huge delays (like this one right now). People may want a refund if it takes longer than 6 months to conclude and may also want a new invoice to refresh that 6 months protection by Paypal. The thing is, once you paid, all those money go to production. Kin has to take his own money to refund those. It’s just bad overall. That’s why i asked him to let me communicate to calm you guys and to reassure he’s not going anywhere with your money.
I didn’t get my first tx1800 until 7 months later (and I bought the spot from someone else who already waited 6 months) and it was fine. It was a production thing. Kin obviously wants to conclude GB in time but factory kept sending defective products. He’s just trying his best and hoping everyone will understand.
If it’s just simply selling something in stock, I doubt that there’ll be many disputes. He’s quite quick in dispatching process.
However, again, I know people will want protection regardless of what they’re buying. If it’s simple, I’d just tell people to pay in bitcoin
