is Brass Bottom Slab better than aluminium one?

They are the same but heavier. Other than that they should be the same.

The split space support is only 2.75,1.25,2.2.25, right? No 2.25,1.25,2.2.75 split possible?

Yes, 2.75 / 1.25 / 2.25. I think this makes more sense.
I tried 2.75 / 1.25 / 2.25 with the BananaSplit and switched after one week to 2.25,1.25,2.2.75. For me much more comfortable, as I use the 2.25 as the Mac Cmd and the 1.25 as layer toggle with my left thumb.

Definitely make sense. but for me, I use my left thumb hit the spacebar, so I wanna that better a bit larger and right-er.
However, we have passed that IC phase. Let's just accept the spacebar the way it is.

Just adding weights. Some love heavier boards I guess.

Are most people going for blocker or no blocker? Just curious. I went blocker cause its easier to find caps for.

Doro with GMK caps side profile:

(Attachment Link)

Just a little detail I noticed. First prototype had camfered edges. Second prototype had rounded edges (if I'm not mistaken).

Now the final product has camfered edges again. I'm just curious to know was this intentional and is it because of production restrictions or is it because you think it looks better?

I dont see your point. The first and the second both have chamfered edges, the difference are the bezel and how much of the chamfered. The final product will have the same look with the second prototype(the ones in the pic).

It's in-switch, per-key RGB, so the top side. :D

Ah, in-switch RGB.  Are LEDs soldered on the PCB or soldered in holes (thus level with PCB surface).  In another words, am I restricted to use only RGB switches?

Everest white, obviously.

But you can take red as a cheaper alternative (and use red accents on dev titty).

I think the pink and the grey/green are muted enough to go with a lot of different things.  I'm a big 9009 fan though so maybe that's where its coming from

    3.1lb / 1.4kg for alu case
4.6lb / 2.1kg if update to brass bottom slab.

So how would shine through caps look on here?

If the led is sounth facing, then lighting for the legends on the caps would be way off. :/

Many consider shine through keycaps tacky.  Background lighting behind your favorite GMK or SA is preferred.  For those, south facing or north facing don't matter.

You're stating preference as if it were fact. Yes, north-facing LEDs are better for shine through, which some people like, but this doesn't seem like the kind of board you would be using shine-through caps with anyway, considering it doesn't have a diffuser or acrylic bottom for backlighting either.

Wut, I don't know what you're picking on.
Anyway, south facing LED is fine.  north facing LED would interfere with Cherry height keycaps.

I didn't know that north-facing switches may crack Cherry profile caps before. I choose south-facing simply because it's more nature and can help me reduce the overall height maybe 1mm.

Cherry profile caps may have shorter travel distance on north-facing switches.
Usually home row keys. It happens for almost all switches.

Hey! Can someone outline the possible downside(s) of getting the plate in “multi-blocker” (config 2) if I’m most likely going to use the default layout, but wouldn’t mind the split space bar as an option? Would there be less stability in the switches in those areas? Would I have to use non-standard stabs if using the default layout with it? Any other concerns? Thanks for helping out a noob...

I wouldnt expect to have any stability issues.  Not with 4mm plate.
standard stabs should be fine

It's not that they crack keycaps, but R3 and R4 of cherry profile caps will actually hit the housing on north facing switches just before it would normally bottom out.  This creates a different sound and feel and can be bothersome to those of us who are easily bothered :)  I am glad you went with south, I am super excited for the Doro!

Hi, the default layout is using the most common stabs and keycaps. the layout 2 support multiple layouts, like split backspace/spacebar, or 7u space bar, all of them are less common but easy to find.

you shouldn't. These two PCBs are not compatible (due to daughter-board design and bottom-row stabs direction).
