I don't get it. How does these differ from the screw-in stabs that cherry/gmk has been making for a while now?

As above and as I asked on Reddit, how are these different from gmk stabilisers bar the branding.

If it's a GB for gmk stabilisers at a lower price (and your price is lower than I've seen before), then that's absolutely fine, it's just potentially a bit misleading. This does not appear to be anything new.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is confused. I wonder if their choice of self-tapping screws was down to performance or cost to manufacture.

On the 'self tapping screws' comment, gmk stabilisers also have this, in as much as the screw hole isn't threaded, unlike zeal/epbt. I presume that's what that comment alludes to.

Cherry, gmk and zeal attached (in that order).

I've always heard that "GMK screw-in stabilizers" are still manufactured by cherry, just sold through GMK.

That's also what I've heard, gmk are simply the brand, they're cherry stabilisers. Bar the screw portion they're identical to cherry.

As I said earlier, down for cheap gmk stabs for sure, I'd just like clarification if they're actually new, because that's a very big deal if they are given cherry hasn't changed its stab lineup for like. I have no idea how long.

FWIW my GMK stabs that came in a GMK bag with my M65-A are like the Cherry ones on your picture (one screw hole + 1 "mount" hole).

I've always thought cherry and gmk stabs are the same thing and people just use the names interchangeably? You can get them in screw in and standard mount?

Yeah, these aren't new. GMK stabilizers are Cherry stabilizers. I think you've been out of the loop for the last year or so, Sennin...

That said, the price is really good; I'm guessing it's because we are cutting out GMK as the middleman.

Cheaper is good -- in fact, I know that the pricing in bulk is just about as cheap as this, so I think these are legit and pretty much the same Cherry/GMK screw-in stabilizers we are used to seeing.

I'll check the sample when possible.
Cause GMK stabs should threaded?
But the info that representative show me is not threaded, have to use self tapped screws.
And info I got is part number 6091539 change mold.
Maybe they just replace the part with what GMK is using cause the screw thing is the only difference I can tell.

I'm not sure the quotation of GMK.
What I heard is pretty expensive. (Higher than the price here for several hundreds set of 60%)
But I'm not the one who contact them, so not sure about that.

happy new year every body!

From what I know, GMK and Cherry stabs are the same.

The difference is that the "new" Cherry stabs offered in this GB will have a new wire diameter of 1.52 instead of 1.54. I'm guessing this will be the new standard for both GMK and Cherry stabs offered in the future from now on.

Do we know how the smaller dimension is a pro/con?  Sorry if that’s a noob question. Doesn’t seem like 2 hundredths of a difference would be a huge difference, but I’m not a material scientist or engineer.

We’re paying $4.50 or $6.50 (depending on 60% or 104 option) for what would usually cost at least twice that.

Would be great to have the option to throw an extra 6.25u stab in there. To make better use of the kits. But I understand that complicates kit creation.

Supposedly new wire diameter of 1.52 instead of 1.54. Don't think it will make that much of a difference, if any. Just the crazy kickass price that draws the attention here.

Hi,
We get a suggestion to add washers in the pack on Reddit.
Contacted washer venders last week.
It's not expensive item, so we'll add it into the kit.

Can anyone attest to how legit this is. I'm pretty interested because of the really low prices, but I am not sure whether its legitimate or not.

Genuine Cherry stabs are very cheap in bulk. I bought 100 2u stabs from a USA electronic parts vendor for like 25 bucks. I have no doubt he can get them even cheaper.

Hi, guys:
I went to check the sample of stabilizer.
And found they reduce the distance shown below :
(this is plate stab, but I don't have pcb stab file, so I use this pic to show it)

Old cherry is around 2.67~2.69mm.
New one reduce to 2.3mm.
I can tell the difference between with eye.
And did a quick measuring, might have little measuring error.

And here's GMK vs old cherry:

Seems they have the same dimension.
I haven't measure GMK's.
Don't have one in my hand, somebody will mail me one this week, I might able to check it next week.

The change make wires more solid, older one is looser.
But representative has only few samples.
I have no chance to feel how it type.
Not able to tell if the modify makes the stab better now.

The other thing I confirm is that they indeed have no female thread.

Ok, now that, is more interesting. Hmmmmm! I'll probably get in in that case, new is new, apologies if I came across skeptical above. It's because I always am haha!

Weird that it stopped you? My paypal went through and I got a confirmation email. Maybe there was a cancellation or something?

Or maybe they havent caught my order yet and will cancel it after all.
