Wait, what are the color options now? If there are extra colors it would be awesome to allow you to buy extra (or the set, like in Space65). Rose Gold PVD, Champagne PBD, Brass PVD, Silver PVD, Black Nickel coated, etc. I know you likely won't have that many, but a few to pick from would be really cool!

I love your approach to this GB, and I think the response from the community shows that we all appreciate your engagement and feel your enthusiasm coming through in these updates! I'm definitely in for one when the GB happens!

(On a side note, I'd love to design my dream board and do a GB someday, but I'm already having trouble balancing my academic research with building boards and staying up to date with news in the community, so much respect to you for finding the time for this project!)

My plan was to give away those as raffle items, but we will see how this goes!
It's easier to do aluminum anodization for different colors than PVD colors I think.

I have been in this mechanical keyboard hobby since 2011, thought about designing my own keyboard for a long time, but was only able to start this after passing an important milestone of obtaining tenure last year

I would say overall mechanical keyboard definitely increased my research productivity as I love typing all day every day

The badge is easily replaceable. We might make some colored anodized aluminum badges as additional giveaway items.

I’d like to see a per-switch LED non-hotswap PCB if that’s possible, but I agree a lighter colour would look best with PC, so I went White+Yellow. Is 1 row of LEDs enough to have even underlighting? Maybe 2 rows so we can do a spiral effect?

White + shiny COPPER would be great. Should that be white + clear ?
Black + clear/shiny copper would be good too.
White + Red might be good, I did not see this combination there .

If you look at the poll (view previous results), the percentage requesting compatibility layout is quite small, splitting that into two groups will increase the cost and honestly I don't know how many people will be interested... if enough people are interested we can consider adding the badge to the compatible layout design.

I'm in it for the compatible.  My vote is to not take away switches for the badge on the compatible; I like it because it has more switches (and spit backspace of course ;-).  I'm considering getting another hot-swap version for the badge.

In all seriousness, this is why I try not to browse the IC threads too much... because then I stumble across projects like this and I get the urges.  You know the kind that I mean.... the kind that makes me spend the monies for the keyboards...

Great looking board though.  So much good 65% stuff lately.
