Honestly I like this design and the choice of colors is amazing. Sadly my hope and dreams were crushed when I saw the 50 units availability.
Also question to the Op. Will you have EU proxies or sell directly?

We are estimating the units at 50 for now because we are still learning the process and want to ensure we don't sacrifice quality for quantity.
However, if everything goes well and there is a large amount of interest, we might increase the units.

We are currently planning to sell direct, but if EU demand is high we will consider it.

My main request is that if you do decide to support ISO, you also consider including the option to swap the split right shift with the 1U Function key to its right (so the 1U is on the left and the 1.75U right shift is at the very right of the keyboard).  This minor change, in combination with the ISO Enter key, will allow you to support JIS as well as ISO.

It's only useful if you decide to support ISO though, so if you decide to keep things ANSI-only you can ignore this request :-)

Yeah definitely, thanks for that advice. We will have a google form up shortly with some questions so we can gauge interest about certain options. If ISO turns out to be popular we'll add it in with your idea.

Very interesting design.
Have you considered slanting the exposed portions of the bottom piece on the side? I'm wondering what it would look like if they were slanted to line up with the exposed portions on the back.

Slanting them? I'm not sure I follow the idea but I will try later to see if I can see it.

This looks so good! I am hopeful that Red or Purple makes it through the color poll. This would be a must to try for. I've been looking for my next HHKB. The proposed weight designs all look great and the use of a Bronze plate and weight is really appealing.

Yeah we liked the idea of using bronze as both the weight and the plate, we felt it fit along with the concept we wanted. As for the colors, we'll announce what colors were the winners.

usually I would always ask for ISO support. But I feel like if this limited to 50 units, while being well made and reasonably priced you wont have issues to sell them in the current market. (the current design looks really nice imo)

Hotswap will not be offered with the PCB during group buy but the PCB is a standard 60% so if you can find a Tsangan hotswap PCB with a JST connector then it should work. We will see if we can test this at some point.

We are currently polling for ISO but if it proves to not be as popular, we could release the plate files. We will check this out and see.

Hey there, we've updated the main post with some quick renders with keycaps. We will attempt some other renders with known sets once we have worked them out perfectly. Also our 3D print is stuck somewhere and we're still waiting for that. But we should have that soon.  :thumb:


Also if you have a chance give the google form a quick fill. It helps us out to see what you guys like.

It should have some heft to it. But it is a 60% so the weight of the board shouldn't be outrageous.
