I had a similar idea for a board ages ago but never acted on it, so needless to say I'm very interested! A few questions though...

1) Will 4mm plates be the only option? If so, are you open to sharing the plate files so that people can get their own cut after the fact?
2) 4mm POM sounds intriguing, would you be able to make a sound test for it?
3) Can you provide a layout diagram for the key sizes? I can't quite tell the bottom row key sizes from the pictures provided.
4) Whats with the hole on the top middle of each half? I personally find it a bit unsightly on an otherwise clean-looking board.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions.  Looking forward to true HHKB layout kustom  8)

1. 4mm plates only and I will always release plate files post preorder dates.
2. Soon tm
3. I’ll provide a pic + kle tomorrow.
4. The two inner ports connect the board together. The ports on the outer sides allow you to plug a usb c cable from either end.

Goodnight folks will answer more questions tomorrow

Edit:
4. The holes are indicator led’s for connectivity

Also curious. Keyset compatibility is a very important aspect. Please show us KLE layout.

Looks really interesting. Are the proto pictures intentionally unclear though? That's annoying. Please add more photos that are less "artsy" but actually show some details...

You have a really nice product, but the detaild in the IC are lacking. The pictures are pretty, but show little :) Looking forward to more details.

That's the combo I would get if mixed was an option. I guess if two people wanted the same combo, they could order one color each and swap later...

Have you considered the possibility of making it wireless? I think it would look really clean with no cables! - just like in the renders.

Well, OG HHKB layout has 7u spacebar, right? That just doesn't split (3.5u space...?) The largest small spacekey is 3u (which I dislike due to lower compatibility); 2x 3u = 6u, but there aren't any extra keys. So is each side of the bottom row shifted 0.5u to the center? I guess we'll find out tomorrow ;)

An HHKB has a 6u spacebar, its just MX HHKB boards that typically use 7u spacebar because it's more common (i.e. OG Cherry boards).  At any rate this is actually a 5u spacebar in total as OP mentioned that they're 2.25u and 2.75u in an earlier comment.

Thanks for the clarification, I'm not that familiar with HHKB. The 2.25u/2.75u split spacebar is the ideal solution as the spacekeys are widely available or can even be replaced by shift keys. Must have missed that comment.

Big thumbs up!

This is basically the same design that Greenwald sold to people to pay for the Lumina issues he had right?

No thanks. You're a little too creepy/vindictive seeming.

I agree that the user in question is definitely too involved and that the intent is fairly clearly vindictive but I think the information being provided is also fairly relevant. I think it should be stated, for clarity's sake and transparency if nothing else, that the design in question that is being pitched has been ran prior in a small quantity and is by Tesletron/Greenwald.

Personally I am one of the people that believe Tesletron needs help to get out of the slum that he (willingly and consciously or not) got himself into with his buy(s) and the OP may be helping to try and remedy that while also clearly profiting from it, neither of them should necessarily be shamed for this particular instance. That said, it's still a massively touchy subject, and rightfully so, for a lot of others.

In my opinion it needs to be stated who the designer is, how many units were made as "one offs" prior, what Tesletron's involvement is (if any) past the design stage and any other relevant information. Then again, considering that didn't happen with other ICs/GBs that were obviously successful regardless, I might be in the minority that cares and thus am not holding my breath.
