It sounds to me like there should be a supplemental kit added onto the moogle 3 for odd keys with lower interests.

I don't see any reason to include a non-center-stem caps lock, honestly. The point of a moogle kit is to adapt a Cherry set to fit a modern standard-layout keyboard. If you have an off-center keyboard, can't you use a real Cherry caps lock?

As far as I know I am the first person to do this keycap cruelty.

1. Take a NIB doubleshot ISO "|\" key and murder it for a stem.

3. Epoxy the murdered "|\" key shaft into the capslock - left justified.
4. Put it onto my G80-3494LYCUS-2.
5. Take pictures to confirm the kill.
6. Post them to horrify people on GH.
7. Wait for the horrified responses and cries for justice to pour in.

Damn that capslock is sexy...

They ARE rare, AND expensive. I hate stepped capslocks, but I love cherry brand boards that come with them... This is the compromise. 2 NIB doubleshots and a NIB mx red switch (for the jig) were murdered in the process.

99hk sells sets that are stepped and left-shafted. And he sells them for $100 now. Only 8113/8200 have un-stepped center-stemmed capslocks. The doubleshot ones usually go for >$100 on ebay.

Someone needs to look harder, this is coming from someone that sucks at looking for these things and I have 3 brand new sets and together it was under $100

I was offered $20 + shipping for the one I haven't murdered (yet). Since I would have taken a loss I turned it down. I am always open to offers on anything I have, but I'm not gonna take a loss unless I have no use for it. I won't let go of my second one for anything short of a small ransom.

Nah, like I said I usually suck at hunting these things, maybe I got lucky? I was just looking for center stem 1.25x mods and the flat caps happened to be with the set

I think I remember people complaining about messed up keycaps from that time too. The shafts were too far to the left if I remember correctly.

Those bottom 2 look like they're too far left.

My capslock mod is measurably within a <1mm tolerance in all measurements. With full depression since the shaft was left unfiled. Those pictures look 3mm off.

Yeah, the Rebel yellow is definitely the way to go if there are future rounds. I like our green better though -- it's slightly brighter.
