Don't know if that's been answered before, sorry if it has.

Has the MOQ for the Black ANSI been reached yet?

Also, are the colored Win95 keys the default now? That's all it's coming with?

No, only full sets in this GB. But the prices are decent. There are 87 key sets that are more expensive.

Just don't use the numpad keys or sell them in the classifieds :)

Whats the word on the MOQs on various layouts

Earlier in the thread it mentions MOQ 20 per set.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Is there anyway (with enough interest) we could run a blank set specific to HHKB Unix layout for the GH60/ KMAC Happy?

hopefully it would be a little cheaper since it uses so few keys.

I kinda doubt they would have the right profile molds for the HHKB layout

To be fair, this GB has been ongoing for quite a while now, and I'm afraid with all the changes and new introductions we've had already and extra time it will take to get to MOQs for new stuff, we'll lose some people.  I really want to see this completed, personally, and I hope people realize that all the tweak requests to EXISTING mockups may or may not be beneficial to the Group Buy as a whole (as someone who's already signed up for a set may like it exactly as pictured, and will then come back later to see a change they don't like and cancel).

This has already been run at least once to completion IIRC... I don't think adding a couple extra keys would be a big deal if it's feasible for the manufacturer.

If this R2 happens successfully (I really hope so!), it's likely a R3 with more great PBT dyesub stuff. Maybe then would be the perfect time for a HHK set.

Imsto has already ordered  the white/beige sets, so they're already on hand, but more importantly the factory wanted an order for 10,000 beige 1.25x bottom row mods, so I highly doubt a blank beige |\ is going to happen :p

ermahgerd I'm not asking any of you.

The question is directed at lysol Ivan. I'm not getting my hopes up, I just want a decent set of keys for the GH60 that don't have some garbage qwerty legends and thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

anyway, I doubt it will happen since we still don't have 1.5 mods or short R.Shifts or beige |\ AFAIK...

best bet is just to mix and match a few set and suffer a white |\

EDIT: yeah I wrote that before you posted Jocelyn, but thanks for the link

It would have to be added as an option, and it would still have a minimum order quantity of 20 pieces, so unlikely that it will be added.  You can find thick PBT "RGB" sets on the Classifieds and eBay--those are back font on all white, and only Ctrl, Shift, and Alt have colored fonts.

Only the ones that reach MOQ :p

And we won't know that until orders are nearly closed.  You can ask Ivan for a progress report though.

I forgot to order German- iso and now the option is gone. Would it change anything if I ordered two sets red on white german iso? Or is this option definitely gone forever?

You can only order what is in the order form, and unfortunately DE is absent :(

No, it wouldn't make a difference. Last time Ivan showed the order numbers the ISO DE sets had 4 orders (incl. mine) so your 2 sets won't bring them to 20 orders.

If it is not in the OP anymore there was not enough interest to keep it going. Everything that is there now set wise is good to go except for the MAC version still need more order... and Scandinavia I guess maybe will not make it unless everyone that ordered it before put their orders back for it.
Any further additions is pretty unlikely at this point. I want to just run with what we have and get it wrapped up and into production. Then I can focus on next GMK buy.

I ordered a Mac version - if it doesn't make MOQ, I'll change my order to the US ANSI Windows version.

The Miami Limited is on all-white base, but the white itself is kind of a creamy off-white color.

Finally decided to make a cash sacrifice to my keyboard.  With plenty of time to decide if I want to stick with the basic black ANSI or go with something more... interesting.

If I tell my coworkers that my key caps cost more than my keyboard, they may just decide that I'm crazy.

Updated OP which sets have green light for production MOQ. MAC, US Green and Scandinavia need about 10 more orders each if they are going to get to production.

Nice, all my 4 sets have met MOQ :)

Hopefully next Round will have complete ISO sets. If that's not possible, I think offering ISO base sets like in the SP group buys (alphas, number row) might work. People could combine these with modifier sets they already have.

So are people ordering sets for their looks rather than with the intention of actually making use of the cryllic/hangul/nordic etc? Some of them look fantastic and I am really liking the colors, it is just that I do not speak any languages that use the symbols.

I think it's all for the looks, I mean most of us don't need to look at the keyboard while typing anyway...

Those secondary legends add a nice visual touch in my opinion :)

Yes legends for me are all looks as well. Not even speaking the language never stopped me before from getting a keyset. For those that I do speak, I don't have Russian legended set on my primary keyboard, and with French I don't even bother to change from US layout and just let autocorrect deal with the accent characters... yes I know that is horribly lazy when I even have a proper French azerty keyboard.

Sadly I still have to look sometimes. So I guess my purchases are justified ;)

Ivan you have so many options in this GB but wondering why not this:

- R1 x1 blanks
- R4 x1 blanks

someone with 1.5 - 1 -1.5 x7 layout will only need RGB + Esc BSP from Sherry and x7 cherry ABS space bar....

The keys are already made and in sets (or in the numbers for sets) - not made to order as individual keycaps, and the MOQ for new caps is 10,000

Problem is keys availability. imsto only have blue color 1.25 for singles, rest are in full sets which don't want to break up. New order with the factory for single 1.25 is 10,000 key. It's not going to be reasonable.

Eight days left all my 4 sets have met MOQ.

Can't wait to put them on my boards :)

Ivan, how long do you think it will be until you get the caps back from IMSTO? 2 months? 3 months?
