Interest Checks / Re: [IC] GMK CYL Flare | Vendors Announced

Just because I was asked to make a render of inverse accent keys for the enter and esc, here are the results.

So far I've gotten extremely mixed reactions from others regarding this but I am leaning towards not adding it to the base kit. I won't be considering adding a 3rd color just for an accent key as I do not want to add any extra cost to the set.

Trying to suck me back in the world of rubber domes I see... Seriously though, awesome project as the OG BKE Redux domes were my favs when I was still messing with Topre. Looks like I'll have to scrounge up another 660C somehow!

Time for the first update! Here's the percentages of people who have expressed interest in each kit so far:

Base Kit: 100%
Extension Kit: 67%
Numpad: 14%
40s/Ortho: 20%
Accents: 72%
Southern ISO: 20%
Ergo: 0%

I am not surprised about ergo; it's mostly there because SP has shown a willingness for running it as of late anyways (see SMRT, Grand Budapest).

First of all i want to thank Manu and Baion for letting me do this with them  :-*

For those who didn't know yet, i made a collab cable for GMK Nerve that matches the Pantone Purple-C from both Acero and Neon keycaps.

The cable is made of Soft Silicone 6mm OD, Femo push-pull connector and satin silver aluminum Type A and Type C shell connectors (Type C on host side can be chosen on the product page)

The cable is in preorder since i wanted to make a custom Packaging for this one and Manu did an awesome artwork for me for the external outer-box.
Box prototypes and packaging has been already made (photos below) and will manufactured just at the end of the preorder date to see exactly how many to produce.
Most of the cable components have been already ordered so it will be at my lab as soon as possible.

As you can see in the photos, there's a GMK keycap with my "k", this keycap is made with the same purple for nerve and with the metallic silver from Hi!Viz. There's one keycap with each cable  ;D

Preorder opens: Jan 20 2025
Preorder closes: Feb 20 2025
Shipping ETA: March 2025

Product page with all the rest of the info: https://khor.store/products/femo-nerve-preorder

Despite this being a preorder item, it can be ordered with othe in stock with no problem. Everything will be shipped at once.

Below some photos of the cable and box protos.

The GPU architectures right now are AI first, gaming second.

Designing cards entirely focused on game optimization is not profitable, nor necessary, since it's just kids playing games.

Gaming is profitable, just not as much as A.I.

You can't compete with venture capitalists, universities and governments which can have near endless budgets.

It's not endless, it comes at the expense of all other things, the process is what inflates a speculative bubble.

My T440p (which I got for cheap years ago, without hard drive, to which I added an SSD) is running Linux Mint 22 without a hiccup, although I don't use it very hard. It's well over 10 years old, multiple epochs in computer years.

PS - thanks for the recommendation Leslieann!
You're welcome, I'm glad it has served you well.
Such great machines, especially for Linux.
