Keyboards / Tap Wearable Keyboard and Mouse -- Has Anyone Seen This?
« Last post by fer.real on Tue, 16 October 2018, 06:22:48 »
https://www.tapwithus.com/

I came across this in a random web search.  It's a wearable device that acts as a one-handed keyboard and mouse.  It looks gimmicky and it's not mechanical, but it's interesting because it's chorded.  What do you think of it?

An increasing number of the pointless "I want you in my bed" spam e-mails are now mentioning my sister's name which makes them slightly uncomfortable to skim past as well as annoying.

We have been working on these keys for a long time now.
I would love to get some feedback from you guys.
Also what profiles do you think would be the most popular to do next?
Cheers

...caffeinated 250mg marijuana 'energy' drink...

What moron thought sticking stimulants and a relaxant in the same can was a good idea?  At least your day wasn't a total loss, you learned it is as bad as it sounds and warned others about it :thumb:

It's amazing what a month off work crippled does to an otherwise 'normal' mind, worryingly this was probably my most productive day :-\

Oh man I totally know what you mean, I'm closing in on about a year disabled (I don't really want to elaborate much more than that) and it seriously drives you crazy not being able to do anything

A year   Sorry to hear that, I'd ask but you said not to.  Hopefully you can adapt or recover and get some quality of life back, I'm impressed you made it this long.

Yes I will be doing another one in the near future.  Im looking into a few improvements to the buying process.  Either making an online store,  or better software to manage the invoices.

I made too much manual work for myself with this first round.

Input Devices / Help picking first trackball
« Last post by vegs on Tue, 16 October 2018, 05:33:29 »
Hey all! I recently started working a fulltime office job and I've started to notice a bit of strain in my right shoulder. I want to try switching from mouse to trackball and see if that helps.
I have medium-ish hands, 18cm * 9cm. I don't have many requirements, but scroll-wheel and wireless would be nice.

After some googling, I've narrowed my search down to Logitech MX Ergo and Kensington Expert (wireless), but leaning towards the MX Ergo.

Any help or recommendation would be appreciated!

Keyboards / Re: [Help] New build key not registering

That's the easy option :)

If you've confirmed all the switches in the QWE... row are connected to their diodes you'll probably find Tab to T are connected and Y to } are also connected so you just need to solder a jumper from the diodes on T and Y and everything will magically work again.  This is still a very strange place for a break but if it works it works...

Also a warning if you're thinking of flashing new firmware - the one linked above is a popular choice but it isn't going to work with your board.  The official b.face version has whole rows connected so you could try that but no guarantees.

Good luck!

Keyboards / Re: What is the point of Ergodox EZ LED lights?

Thank you. I meant the underglow. Itís an option so Iíd save some money if it were just for looks. But giving me feedback on which layer Iím on sounds useful.

FWIW, showing which layer you're on is not part of the factory firmware, you'll have to update yours to make it do that. The code required to do so is quite simple, and if you get there, I'm happy to walk you through it.

I really regret missing this one.  Are there any plans for a round 2?
