Okay, so I know that ePBT was an extremely popular request when I initially launched the IC for GMK Fro.Yo.

After contacting KBDFans for inquiry on the possibility of ePBT manufacturing Fro.Yo, things looked like they could go that direction!

I received MOQ # from Wei and we discussed the colors and Set Arrangements. But the main thing that kept us from going ePBT was there lack of Molds for the 40’s Kit I have.

Extended 2048 had the similar issue of not being able to manufacture the initial 40’s Kit Biip had arranged simply because of there lack of tooling to do so.

Specifically, they do not have molds for Row 3: 1.25u And 1.5u Keys. 

Some may say this is a small detail but as an avid 40’s user, I didn’t want to do this Kit Halfway.

I asked Wei what kind of order quantities we would have to have to fund those 2 new key molds for ePBT, in hopes that it could at least be a structured possibility. 

But after that inquiry Wei has gone silent on me and I don’t think they are interested in manufacturing the set any longer.

That’s just the way it goes sometimes.

I Picked the Legends mostly because they were similarly related to what the standard legends are.  At least in my mind.

Total relates to Enter

Double relates to Big which relates to Capital Letters

Extra relates to extra line/Space which relates to Tab.

But Based on the form responses so far, it seems like most would just prefer the stock legends of GMK.  If we go with Stock legends, It Would most likely lower the cost. That might be the better choice honestly since I’m not sure what, if any, other themes would be able to use these legends and make it worthwhile Tooling cost.

Yes, even though it's not white, I don't think we need another wob set, I also really prefer having those 3 essential kits rather than a billion different kits for those ortho split backspace 6u spacebar ergo left numpad people. And beside, I just think that the colored mods give the flavor to the set, get that ice cream on the beach on a sunny summer day vibe. But you do you, I'm just not personally interested

I forgot about that; it does make things tricky. I assume you (and the community) aren't willing to stomach the quality decrease of switching to something like Winmix for 40% compatibility? They seem to be a mixed bag overall, but The Key Company certainly seems to have faith in them.

I'd also gladly take this colorway in MDA or KAT profiles, but it seems like both of those are going to be unobtainable for the near future.

This could definitely be done in PBT but yes, epbt don't have good 40s support.

Their new kits that were laid out for The Candybar GB might give us some hope in terms of vibrant color replication. And more and more manufacturing experience leads to a higher quality product in most cases. At least for the factories that actually care about those things lol
