Very much in.

My suggestions:

  • Add 1u R4 Alt to Addition kit so Tsangan/HHKB layouts who utilize the 1.5u Super keys have full coverage
  • Maybe a fun alternative to "Super" could be to rename that key "Stealth"
Otherwise, love this so much. The deskmats look great and poster is a nice addition.

EDIT: I really want to respond to the Google Form, but it looks like we can't choose multiple kits that we are interested in.

Also, added some suggestions after my initial excitement :)

I dig the concept! One thing I think would be awesome is if the whole F-row was blacked out for even more stealth vibes. Oh, and also orange on black arrow key accents would also be nice instead of the grey, the grey feels out of place to me.

Ugh I need this. Maybe we can have a set with RAL_2004 Legends? Or at least RAL_2004 Icons on modifiers? I just think it could just a little bit more of that orange somewhere.

Either way, I'm in.

One question though, will the space bars be doubleshot or are they pad printed?

Have you talked to GMK about the custom novelty spacebars? If I'm not mistaken, this would be the first GMK set with a custom spacebar. I would think this would only be doable through dyesub, but I could be wrong.

Love the set btw!

Love it. Novelties don't really fit IMO. The only thing that would make this better is some orange arrow options (either orange legend, or orange background).

I'm taking that into consideration for a future update!
I did also fix the Google Form, so you should be able to select multiple Kits.

The Spacebar Novelties are pad printed. Sets like GMK Moomin did already take use of this technique for their Novelties, so it shouldn't be a problem here either.

This is definitely a more finished concept, but there was a "GMK Stealth" IC back in April.

I saw that IC, but I thought it was dead. Also considering that OP's last online time was back in April, I saw no hope in reaching him over geekhack.
If he wants to claim the name for his Set, maybe he gained back the motivation to work on his concept, he can message me and I'll talk with him about that. I mean, It's just a name and the Sets don't really have much in common besides the darker scheme.

I wouldn’t confuse the previous GMK stealth with an interest check, and you’ve already put in an order of magnitude more work.

RAL 7016 is damn dark. I love it, but that often means others consider the set preposterously low contrast. Will you have color chips to compare to GMK CR and N9?

Hey there! Cool set you've got here. We've been discussing your kitting over in the 40% discord and I wanted to compile and share a few community thoughts. For starters, thank you for including a 40% kit!

Lets get started!

The 40s Kit:
  • The 1.75u spacebar is a contentious little key. There are three different ways to handle the inclusion of a 1.75u spacebar:
  • Include two 1.75u spacebars. The Prime_L, JD40, and JD45 use two 1.75u spacebars whereas the only keeb that uses a single 1.75u spacebar is the Vortex Core
  • Include one 1.75u spacebar and the 1.75u minivan "Lock" key. This allows folks who use the Prime_L, JD40, and JD45 to use the minivan "Lock" key as one of the spacebars and for minivan users who use the 1.75u "Lock" key to not be forced to use the 1.75u spacebar. Most split bar users also do not map both split bars to be a space.
  • The final option is to remove the 1.75u spacebar altogether. Among all split bars in the 40% community, the 1.75u is an odd bird.
  • We'd love to see a 1.25u shift key included. This is not strictly mandatory as there are multiple 1.25u options in base kit. However, the prime_e uses 6x 1.25u modifiers AND a 1.25u shift, meaning if I were to join this GB for one of my prime_e boards, I would also have to pick up the "Additions" kit for that single 1.25u shift. This is not strictly a deal-breaker, but is definitely a nice to have key!

The Base Kit: There are a few experimental changes we are throwing around which cuts down on the number of included nav cluster keys (base kit has 12 of them) while simultaneously providing richer coverage for ortholinear layouts.
  • Change R2 PgUp to R2 Out
  • Change R3 PgDn to R3 Read or Data
  • Change R4 End to R4 Read or Data

These potential changes would allow you to cut the R3 PgUp and R4 PgDn keys. I understand that these alterations to existing keys may prove controversial for many 65% users who depend on correctly labelled keycaps for navigation purposes. However, be the change you want to see. I think this is worth brining up in an IC, even if the answer is a resounding no.

GLWIC!
The Geist renders are just fantastic. This set's aesthetics, especially with those novelties, are top-notch. And the extras are the cherry on top of the cake. I think you have a real winner on your hands here, FV.

There are some really good points here.

I think the right way to handle 1.75u space is to add a R4 1.75u Lock key, which is required either way for Minivan support. Without it, there's not much point to having 1.75u Backspace and (to a certain extent) 1.5u Enter in the kit.

I agree with including 1.25u Shift in the kit since ISO keys aren't part of base.

On top of that, there are a few more changes that I'd make to the Extension kit. I'll summarize everything below:
  • Add R4 1.75u Lock.
This key is for Minivan support and also works as a second 1.75u space substitute.

  • Add R4 1.25u Shift.
If you're planning on keeping ISO keys separate from base.

  • Remove either accent or non-accent 1.25u and 1.5u Enter keys.
These sizes are not used commonly enough to justify having both accent and non-accent options in the kit. That space could be put to much better use by having more compatibility-extending keys in the kit.

  • Add a second R4 1u Shift.
Not all ortho users put Enter on R4, and some of them prefer having Shifts on both sides.

  • Add a R3 1u Enter key.
For similar reasons as above, some ortho users prefer having Enter on R3.

  • Change R3 1u to (Ctrl icon).
Tab is actually one of the less popular options for ortho keys on R3 (source), and the Ctrl icon is generic-looking enough that it can also substitute for Shift, Caps and Fn, the other popular options.
The alternative would be to have a new mold created for a >_ icon (example), that this and future GMK sets would be able to use.

  • I think the inclusion of the black 1u space keys is interesting, albeit not completely necessary.
I guess these are in the kit for aesthetic reasons (having an all-black bottom row on an ortho board), but they could also be useful for people who prefer convex Lower/Raise keys. While these keys are not exactly necessary and can be cut if the kit ends up on the expensive side, I think they're an interesting addition nonetheless.

  • (optional) Consider including a R1 1u Backspace key.
This is for users of ortho boards with number rows, most notably the Preonic. But I wouldn't say this is a must, as the R1 Delete, R2 Backspace configuration is already supported.

On a separate note, as Mr. CustomerSupport has already pointed out, a 1u Alt key will need to be added to the Addition kit for the 1.5u Super keys to be usable.

Rama cap is insane! Not having an inverted F22 as a novelty may be a crime against humanity though ;) 1000% in for this set

This is awesome. Any plans to run a dark alpha alternative kit as well?

I’d buy. Just need 98 more...

Agree about the Rama, OmniSzron

Will you consider ILUMKB as a vendor for Asia/SEA?

And please keep the R3 PgUp & R4 PgDn in base kit.

You can add me to the list. I would love to see a desk mat with some of the orange in it but maybe its just me! Keep up the great work.
