Will you have PCB mount stabilizers as an option?Yes.
I am in on this as soon as you put the order form up.
Wait Can I buy one of those PCB's without getting the plate since I got one from you in the round 1 plates, and still need a pcb :x
;D Thank youWait Can I buy one of those PCB's without getting the plate since I got one from you in the round 1 plates, and still need a pcb :x
That should work, yes :D Not before the GB starts though.

Sprit's PCB's are very nice. I got two and built one using one of LeandreN's ANSI plates. Once you figure out the key layout program everything works great.
I also have a b.face winkeyless board. It is similar to Sprit's but also has the option for RGB led's on the bottom controlled by a second ATTINY85. Bought these as a bare board with just the controller parts. Soldering the controller parts is extra, diodes/soldering are extra, led resistors/soldering are extra. If you don't mind spending the time soldering it's not too expensive. It uses the same key layout editor, with more options for the RGB leds. They ship DHL so buying a single board is expensive.
Hmmmmm I might want another plate. This is what your first plate looks like with a blue SPRiT PCB: http://imgur.com/a/PnrzE :thumb:
Super excited for this!
Count me in for at least one plate. I trust the design. ;)
Thinking about hoping on this and using it instead of an Infinity setup. Those sprit boards are all SMD already soldered on? I assume LED's are not by default.Presoldered for 45$, pretty good price :)
I'm pretty tempted to switch my pcb/plate to this build instead. Thanks!

LEDs are unfortunately not included, but I might have it as an extra option beside.
Yeah. Going to jump on this and go with it over the infinity board build. Great deal and good layout options. Watching this thread!
A Europe based GB for a 60%, sounds amazing.I won`t be selling cases unfortunately. Just giving recomdations to you for your 60% build.
Very interested in what kind of cases you will offer.
So what about the PCB? Are they excluded too?A Europe based GB for a 60%, sounds amazing.I won`t be selling cases unfortunately. Just giving recomdations to you for your 60% build.

PCBs will be an optional add-on with the plate. It will also be shipped with the plate :)So what about the PCB? Are they excluded too?A Europe based GB for a 60%, sounds amazing.I won`t be selling cases unfortunately. Just giving recomdations to you for your 60% build.

So everythings except in switch led comes presoldered? Controller, diodes, resistors for led? Really interesting althoug I just finished a build with the last plate and a winkeyless b.face pcb.... :DYes that's right! Time for your second 60% build!
How much is shipping for the PCB alone?more than likely the exact same price as shipping for a plate, given its the same size and the weight is about the same
Ooo I'd be very interested! Would I need anything apart from switches and diodes to run the keyboard?A case, no diodes is needed.

Can't to see the choices of colors for the plate.Options coming soon. Gonna be a poll
I too am looking forward to seeing those color options.Soon

I get that, but you never see the pcb under the plate. Plate color should match or coordinate with the case instead.Good point. I still like blue though.
Excel
You are based it Norway if I recall correctly. http://www.posten.no/en/ should do the job.I am putting it up as before, but thanks for all the help!
Purple!Yay!
Choose between these colors
Will try to get some pictures next week.Choose between these colors
For the mounting plate? I think that really depends on how the colors would came out. I'd be in for purple too if it is a nice purple, maybe more pinkish.
What sort of blue will the LEDs be? Like a royal blue or a frost blue? Really looking forward to this one! Here the are installed on my board so you can judge by yourself:
Purple plate would be incredible, want one for my Miami Nights build to combine with a purple Tex case! :-*I'll open orders soon.
IMSTO just stopped selling purple plates. :(
Taking orders!
Yes you were! Haha.Taking orders!
First!
What's the timeline for this buy?I don't know yet. At least two weeks. Will update later
Woohoo! Put one in.Thanks!
Done and done :DThanks! Regarding your question; i wont be selling a case, just giving you some options!
Stoked for this! Always wanted to build my own :)
:llama: :llama: :llama: :llama: :llama: :llama:Thanks!
Got my order in!
Would really love to jump on this! Just two questions, how long will this be up for orders? Is the pcb compatible with a Pok3r stock case?Yes it is! I don't know how long orders will stay open, but two weeks to start with
Ordered :) can't wait to get my pcb and get it all done from last round:xThanks!

great buy. i'm in! :thumb:Thanks!
With all the delays sprit has experienced will using that PCB cause a long wait time? Or are they already made?He is extremely busy to get out the last orders for his GB. Fortunately, my order is separated from this and he will be able to ship the day after I put in the order for the PCBs.

At first I thought i'd go with silver, but then, but then.. purrrrple.:) !
I know i know, i may have to come back and add another one.
Ordered :thumb:Thanks for ordering! :)
Well organized LeandreN, thank you.
Looking forward to building the keyboard

Look at those sexy boards! ;) Yes, SPRiT's PCBs support a short right shift.:) !
Order placed! Not sure that I really need a 3rd SPRiT board, but I can't pass up the purple plate option. I may have to sell one once this comes in...
Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see a deadline in the OP.

This was meant to be a combopriceWhat do you mean by comboprice?
It was meant that the price of the PCB should be 45$ only if you bought the plate, but its just a few orders so I'll let it go. You bought a plate from me last time didn't you? This was meant to be a combopriceWhat do you mean by comboprice?
could you explain a bit (or link something) so I can figure out how much else I'll need after buying plate + PCB + case?
Interested noob here :/
You bought a plate from me last time didn't you?Actually, two. I ordered three then gave up one ANSI to make room to another user who was interested.

I contacted the seller of the case that was suggested (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mini-Keyboard-GH60-plastic-Case-for-60-Mechanical-Keyboard-Compatoble-PBT-Keycaps-Poker2-Pok3r-Faceu-60/32311183273.html) and he confirmed that he has the clear version of that as well even though it is not listed.Actually it looks quite nice I think, I prefer the stock poker cases so if its anything like those its good for taking and carrying around daily!Show Image(https://massdrop.imgix.net/resizer/product-images/MD-7993_20150515115940_39307ce719bfcb1a.jpg?fm=jpg&q=70)
It's a $20 case so expectations are low, but these seem like a good cheap option that can be used until something nicer comes along!

I just want to add that my plate design should be compatible with any 60% PCB available. From a Poker to the GH60 to the GON NerD 60 to the Sprit 60% PCB, et cetera.Yes, just because I have it in the order form doesn't mean that the SPRiT PCBs are the only alternative, they're just really cheap :)
No need to worry if this plate will work with your PCB...it will! Just order!!
Any updates on the deadline? And when will the invoicing be done? I'd really like to join, but I have to check my economy :)
Is it possible to run TMK-firmware on these boards? (not a deal breaker, but I use it for everything else)

I have my order in for one set of plate/pcb.
Now the question is does the order end before funds become available and i decide i should pick up more?
I promise I'm going to order like tomorrow, I'm so glad that this gb is happening. How close are we to the desired number of orders?
Looks like the purple plate is a hit? Maybe I should have ordered two of them lol :-X :p
I want to add to my order, how do you prefer to have that done? :DClick on the Order Here button in the OP.

I've never purchased from Aliexpress before, anyone mind informing me how to go about it?I bought electronics there once. Air shipping, perfect packaging and no customs fee as the reseller declared the goods as a gift (which, mind you, as far as I know is illegal in most countries).
Ordered!I'd say 7bit over at deskthority is a great source: http://deskthority.net/group-buys-f50/cherry-mx-taking-pre-orders-t2760.html
Also, first post here on GH, have been mostly a lurker :P
This is my first custom board, where do you guys usually go about ordering switches? (especially you european geekhackers out there :) )

For sure it's not as nice and tidy as Amazon. It sometimes even feels a little sketchy, but so far I have not yet been burned. You'll have an opportunity to add notes to your order, be as specific as possible and don't hesitate to message the seller directly before, or after to make sure they got and understand your order. Pay with a credit card or something that offers a bit of protection. Also remember to be patient, these things are shipping super slow from China.
Well after several hours and several different email address I can't seem to get a verification email from AliExpress so might have to try and find a different clear case.
I have never build a keyboard before and I have som noob questions. You should get PCB mounted switches. That way, the switches clip into the PCB.
Will plate mount switches work? I have a keyboard that I want to use the switches from.
Are resistors compatible with white LEDs already soldered?
If I want springs that are a little bit harder than stock Cherry MX Brown which should I order?
Thanks in advance!

Resistors are already soldered and combatible with the LEDs.
You could try something like a 62g spring if you want a little weight increase.

I'm using plate mounted Cherry stabs with your V1 plate, works just fine.
What material is the plate made out of? Do you have any sample images to show the plate colours?

Sorry if that was asked earlier, but how much would it be to ship it to Japan?10$ for 1 plate + 1 PCB :)
Neat! Do you by any chance have switches too? Also when does this group buy end? I might jump onto the bandwagon if you're still selling in a couple of weeks :)A little under two weeks until it closes.

I'm fairly new to this as well, just finished building on a GON 60% PCB (which is similar to this one), and I ended up ordering my switches from mechanicalkeyboards.com. I like MX Green switches, and they were one of the few places I could find them in stock at the time. I also really liked the orange aluminum TEX case they had....

Yeah, I checked MK.com before, but being US-based is a pain with customs :( too bad, because I also love their TEX cases.
Also, probably a silly question, what kind of screws will I need to assemble this plate and pcb on a case? Are they included?

Btw, any chance of a silver plate picture? :)
Some quick questions:
Is the pcb and plate are compatible with poker cases?
Does the pcb support gateron switchs ?
Is the controller built it when it is shipped or do we need to solder it?
What type of solder is recommend?
Are the stabilizers cherry stabilizers?
Is it really $4 for 100 LEDs?
Just to clarify the plate supports both standard ANSI and standard ISO?
Sorry if some of these questions are silly or the answers are in the first post, this is my first time purchasing from geekhack and my first build.

Yes they are compatible with the Poker cases.
The PCB and plate support Gaterons switches, Cherry MX switches and all the other clones.
The PCB is plug and play, no controller or firmware required.
For soldering the switches, almost all solder should work, people may recommend something for you.
The stabilisers are PCB mounted stabilisers which mounts on the PCB.
4$ for 100 LEDs is correct :)
It supports ANSI and ISO.
No, the PCB mounted replace the standard plate mounted ones.

Thanks for the switch reply, are pcb stabilizers different to cherry ones? Does this mean that i need two types of stabilizers?

There are 3 types of stabilizers generally available for MX switches -- Costar (plate mount), and Cherry (PCB mount or plate mount). The only type which mount to the PCB are Cherry, so indeed, these are Cherry PCB mount stabilizers.
There is also a new player in the stabilizer game, Matias, whose stabilizers work with both MX and Alps switches. But those are plate mount only, and require a different type of hole in the mounting plate than either Costar or Cherry. Best not to worry about those yet. :)
So I should purchase the stabilizer accessory as I don't have any other stabilizers?
I have already placed my order :d but I have a small question, does the plate support the IvanIvanovici layout ? I want to do that with GH60 PCB :D
Thanks for the help!So I should purchase the stabilizer accessory as I don't have any other stabilizers?
Yes, you will need stabilizers.I have already placed my order :d but I have a small question, does the plate support the IvanIvanovici layout ? I want to do that with GH60 PCB :D
I think so, but I will verify for you. It should support almost anything.

Is there any chance of the buying period being extended, or are you holding firm Leandren?
Yay! Ordered.
Time for 2nd keyboard build.
Alright, ordered! Planning on putting it in my Pok3r's case, so I've already got the whole case thing covered. Thanks for your order!
Order plate, PCB and some accessories. Thanks for organizing this! Thanks dude!
So once you collect a couple orders, will you email us the invoice afterwards?I'll mail everyone soon :)
I wanna make sure I don't miss the email.
How many orders have you received?
With all the delays sprit has experienced will using that PCB cause a long wait time? Or are they already made?He is extremely busy to get out the last orders for his GB. Fortunately, my order is separated from this and he will be able to ship the day after I put in the order for the PCBs.

As one of several people that have waited over a year for Sprit to ship the board I already paid for, this feels like a gigantic middle finger. :/
Good luck with the buy. If you ever want to make a full size plate+PCB GB, I might be in! I doubt I will ever see the PCB I bought directly from Sprit.

I wonder what the shopkeepers face looked like when you came in and ordered industry loads of bubble wrap... :D
Here in Germany, the Postal Service offers local pick up. So you could prepay your stamps online, print them out, and have the mailman pick up your shipments, without the hassle of having to go to a post office.Packing materialShow Image(http://i.imgur.com/jc8aQHB.jpg)Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/7jFQF7W.jpg)

Worse to post 70 packs at the postoffice. Here in Norway, it is normal to maybe post some letters or 1-2 packs. They have to put the stamps on, luckily i have already done the customs declaration home. Still uses about half an hour to calculate price and send. Not very cool when people line up behind.
Also, i cannot buy the stamps separately because of the requirments between the price classes, there are way to many!
Order in!
Stoked for my first build!

Also might be worth not now and it does add extra cost, but for orders of pcb only might be worth getting a scrap bit of cardboard to attach it to then wrap the entire thing, its going to be interesting to see if I get a working pcb xD royal mail are never too careful when it comes to bending things :xI willTest packingFor PCBs, you would rather go two or three more times around with the bubble wrap and make sure it doesn't get bent.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/dWEsLsz.jpg)

This may seem like a silly question, but so it is. If I solder the switches into place does that mean the plate is set in place? Or can You just unscrew the screws to take the plate off? Wondering if i could swap plates around for looks.

Once the switches are soldered in place the plate is trapped between the PCB and switches. You won't be able to remove the plate without removing all the switches. This plate does allow you to remove the tops from the switches, but the bottom half of the switch is still holding the plate in place.
Wow, props to you! In my experience the rates to Japan are often much higher.Sorry if that was asked earlier, but how much would it be to ship it to Japan?10$ for 1 plate + 1 PCB :)
+3$ if you add up to 3 accessories.Neat! Do you by any chance have switches too? Also when does this group buy end? I might jump onto the bandwagon if you're still selling in a couple of weeks :)What kind of switches are you looking for?
If there is anything in the order that we like to change, how do you like us to go about it? :)PM me
Wow, that blue is really stunning! It makes me want to rethink my color choice...
For shipping the plates and/or PCBs, you might take a note from hasu. When he ships his PCBs, he surrounds them on both sides with thin (2-3mm) pieces of plywood or fiberboard.
Got the samples. The plates are made of aluminium and are extremely light and bendable, like extremely. To make it suitable to send, i will have to add two layers of cardboard to but the plate(s) and PCBs between.
This will cost me much in shipping, as the orders are now, this will work out fine. It also helps that the plate weigh like 30g or something along those lines. If someone has some tips for packaging(i am not an expert at all) or want to cancel they order because of the freight, please feel free to do so.

Does it? How can you tell, just by looking at the plate? (I don't know that much about plates yet, sorry :p) This would be great for trying out different springs :D

Depends on the type of switch cutouts:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/uorRUz8.png)

You can see on the pictures that the cutouts aren'ts square but of the second type.

The corrected invoice did not include the plate and PCB colors choices I had made, although the original invoice did. I'm assuming those color choices are noted elsewhere.

I can pay whenever, but I'll just wait until it's all sorted out :)
I don't know but can't you also accept SEPA transfer? It works in some EU countries and that would come in handy at least for EU participants.

Sepa nomproblem.Okey dokey. I'll see if I can do that tomorrow :)
I'd be cool with SEPA too.Okay I'll add to the order form and see if it will be possible.
So the sense I'm getting is that pretty much everything is back on track...That is right.
Well I can imagine it being quite scary! Glad everything is running smoothly though! :thumb:So the sense I'm getting is that pretty much everything is back on track...That is right.
I am very good at overreaction. Seriously scary experience for me. But it won't effect the GB in ANY way.
LeandreN,SPRiT will invoice enough people to pay for the parts, I will invoice the rest :)
First of all, I want to thank you for organizing this group buy. I have personal experience with Paypal and I completely sympathize with you; they seem to quickly forget that they provide services to manage someone else's money, not empty beer cans or something.
If the google sheets document is updated and correct, it seems many of our orders are yet to be invoiced. Shall we expect to have an invoice from you or from SPRiT regarding this group buy's orders? I simply want to be sure.
Thanks mate!
Should I be able to use this case (http://world.taobao.com/item/45302514231.htm) with the plate and pcb? Or is there a different frosted acrylic case that I can grab?
I can do both SEPA and PayPal, just in case you offer both, just chose which is more convenient for you :)

Any leftovers?Wew, this was really fast.
Okay so I am just waiting on a email from SPRiT then, as my invoice was sent then canceled a hour after :X if this is the case it might be worth changing on the google doc, to wait for invoice from SPRiT :X as I am thoroughly confused if I have a order or not with how its labeled :X
Whoops I thought I had time to order, but it looks like I'm late.
Could I be placed on the leftovers list too please?
Now the google spreadsheet says 'SEPA (prefered)'. I didn't knew you 'prefer' SEPA. Personally I have no preferences so feel free to invoice me however you want! Will pay as soon as I can, per PP for SPRiT then.Yea, if you prefer SEPA I can do that as well (in euro, if that makes any difference).

Not to nag LeandreN, but it looks like a lot of people are coming expecting to be able to order, so I thought you might want to change the title away from "taking orders", just so people aren't confused.

Add me also with SEPA ;) For the moment with my Bank account in Germany I can do **** with PayPal , I still have the account back home and I use that for PayPal, so I'm good either way. Gold stabs? If you really want, you can PM me and I'll add it to your order. It was just extras and not originally a part of the GB :)
I don't remember seeing that on the order page? Is that still available?
Or was that only for the cool kids?
Was too late to order, will there be any exra of the purple plates/white pcb's after everything is complet, thanksIf you want, I can add you to the list of leftovers?

Is a sepa payment the same as a normal bank transfer? If so and you are in the Uk it would be preferred as we wouldn't need to worry about exchange rates and commission.

Yeah it is the same as normal bank transfer, but it only benfits if you are paying in EUROs. I am also in Norway, not UK.

So am I able to make a sepa payment despite being in the UK?
http://leandren.blogspot.no/p/group-buy.htmlAwesome! It'll be nice to see updating info about the groupbuy. On a different note, I totally forgot how many similarities Norwegian has to German, it's kinda weird.
take a look. Still working on this site.

There really are similarities!
Also the pictures show an AUNK PCB, not a SPRIT one - is this for demonstration only?

To me it looks like the cutout for the caps lock is much wider than for a normal switch and goes all the way to the side of the plate, which is where the off-center caps switch would be.Did these support stepped caps-lock too?

Are you guys sure about the off center caps lock? The plate cutout for that switch looks centered only in the OP photos.

I'll let JD himself handle this if he shows up, he'd explain the quality of his plates much better than I. There's really a number of big differences.excuse the ignorance, but what is the joke here? Those plates are just way worse
Given the price difference, I figured that was the case. But I'm assuming they're the same thickness, so aside from anodizing, how much worse can plate be? Is the H-style plate design that much worse than the "four inverse corners" design? Apologies if this is not the place to ask.
just got invoiced by SPRiT, but I'm not on the list to be invoiced by him.
edit: saw your email, will ignore the invoice.
I read in the email that some had their orders cancelled. What's left unsold?

Ohh I forgot to ask as well at the time but will PCB mount stabs work with your round 1 plate which is what I will be using or will I need to get a plate mount set, should of asked before but no worrys :xHmmm good question. I asked SPRiT to include some.

I know you are obviously busy with this group buy, however I am wondering weather or not my paypal payment has been received as I says yet to invoice on the spread sheet.I'll update soon, but yours is paid:)

This may seem like a silly question, but so it is. If I solder the switches into place does that mean the plate is set in place? Or can You just unscrew the screws to take the plate off? Wondering if i could swap plates around for looks.Once the switches are soldered in place the plate is trapped between the PCB and switches. You won't be able to remove the plate without removing all the switches. This plate does allow you to remove the tops from the switches, but the bottom half of the switch is still holding the plate in place.
Thanks for confirming that. Wasn't sure how that worked with pcb mount switches.
I received one of the cases that was suggested in the OP, the unlisted clear version. It's pretty good, especially considering it was only $20 shipped. It's basically a Poker 2 style case. It's not perfect, there's a few scratches if you look closely enough. It came with the clear adhesive feet, however it did NOT come with screws (fortunately I have an extra set from somewhere, otherwise can be ordered from McMaster I think, same size as TEX case screws). So if you were on the fence about that case or the seller, just know that it worked out for me! :thumb:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/DcrsKlK.jpg)
Can't wait to put a blue PCB and purple plate in it! :)

Um... What is this?? How did you order that clear case? That looks really nice, and could probably be sanded down for LED diffusion...
I will no longer have a queue for left overs. They will be sold on my site opened for everyone. I don't know yet what i have left, yet. The link will be posted on reddit mechmarket and in THIS thread at the same time.

Hello LeandreN, quick question about your upcoming site sale. Do you have any extra stabilizers? And if you do will you be selling them?Maybe about 3 sets, if I am not going to use them myself.
Just sittin here daydreaming, thinking about what bottom row i'm going to setup... 6.25 or 7 space bar... what to do, what to do...

Your order has shipped btw. Going to update everything now. I have been SUPER busy shipping.
Check your order status (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PtJUcOMiVGnUOG828NkMY9LOh7Ka8Qd1b9y3DOMsYvs/edit#gid=0)Dang mines already shipped O>O you don't mess around ehh, well best start getting my switches ready, and clean that plate from the R1 GB off :p then you can finally have pictures off that one complete!
I got a lot off parts and all the plates yesterday and the day before.
Shipping the orders i can. I am still waiting on some parts from SPRiT. He has ordered some PCBs from his factory because some didn't pass his QC.
I have shipped some orders and i will continue tomorrow. I don't have that much time because it is very time consuming(15 minutes to pack each package).
Let me know of any questions.
LeandreN
You're awesome! Looking forward to posting pictures of my loot and build.

Sweet! Goodguy LeandreN didn't even mark them up5$ more though :) that was the planned price for the GB anyway :)
Any hints on what's coming september 20th?Haha. Something cool. Not everybody will like it, but people who are into premium parts will probably enjoy. Also, they are going to be limited because of the price increase.

I take a nap for an hour before class and this happens!?!?! I'll be on the look out for the next batch of plates!
All purple are being held or unavailable haha
Hey, I just want to say that I really appreciate the transparency with which you conducted this GB. It's awesome that you continually update with frequent emails, even when the news isn't great, and that you maintain the spreadsheet with very specific progress for every participant. Also, super fast turnaround times! Really excellent execution. Thanks! :thumb:

Someone is holding the last one in their cart ! Sorry :-/ If they don't buy it within in 10 minutes, it will be available again though.

So what cases are you all going with?
I'm not ready to dish out for a Tex just yet, and the suggested one from Aliexpress gives me pause.
Has anyone used this case? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Gh60-kit-mechanical-keyboard-poker2-pcb-diy-mechanical-keyboard-liner-gh60-metal-shell/32260922859.html (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Gh60-kit-mechanical-keyboard-poker2-pcb-diy-mechanical-keyboard-liner-gh60-metal-shell/32260922859.html) Looks decent for the price.
Another option is this Vortex https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1002 (https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1002) but I can't tell if it's cast plastic or a metal of some kind.
This is my first build so I am a little nervous about picking the best parts.
Thanks for any input in advance!
The Vortex one is cast aluminum. Plastic would be "molded". I'm fairly certain it's the same one seen on some Pok3rs.Yes, that's the same one that's on the Pok3rs. I little heavy and thick for my taste, I personally prefer the minimalist Texs in terms of alu cases, but it's all up to preference.
@LeanderN: do you have any plans for some nice 60% cases too ? Something simple in alu ? For example a layered sandwich one ? The company who made the plates should be able to make something like that too  I've always wanted something like the SPRiT acryl case where only the bottom is acryl and the top layer is anodized alu , something like that should be not very expensive and would look pretty sick :cool:I am going to tell you that I am working on something like this :) going to take some time though.

1 plate arrived in the UK :DI suppose that's me ;D Incredibly cool plate! It's my first alu plate, it's amazingly light.

Got my package today, I'm more than happy, this was a really smooth GB and the result is awesome. The plate wasn't bent at all, even if in my photo it looks a little on the pink side it's a perfect brilliant purple. The quality is very good and the design is awesome, JD knows his plates :thumb:

Have you clipped the Cherry stabilisers?
Shipped out all the orders from my store.hope I can snag a pcb + stabs to go with my plate!

Are all orders shipped out?No. Still waiting on an update from SPRiT for the last orders for those who ordered a PCB.
My order only contains two plates, and I haven't gotten an update on it.
Please check and let me know :thumb: Thanks
I'm confused. You said all plates were shipped out from your side. They aren't with SPRiT. If I've told you that they have shipped, they have shipped.
I don't have any orders with Sprit, only plates with you. Why would the plates be with sprit?
Got my order yesterday :D Plate was slightly bend at one corner, but nothing a few heavy books cant fix.Awesome! Feel free to post pictures of your build here :)
thanks LeandreN :-*

Only one question anyone know anything hint good to clean the flux off the board with as I tired isopropyl 99% but that didn't do all that much :X
I'll have to check I was using one of those ESD brushes with quite hard bristle just didn't want to take of any chips :XJust as the final update of mine I just resolder we the entire board and clipped the stabs....

As someone who makes and sell electronic products...
Just get a tray and soak the entire board in iso. Brush off.
If you didn't have ABS in the switches, I would say Flux Cleaner or Acetone... but ABS ....
My status says "Pitstop" :) <3. Thanks for keeping me up to date. :thumb:No problem. It is really nice of you taking my mistake this easily. Ttex was awesome and contacted me immediately!
When I got home from work, I found my package in the mail :thumb:Great! Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to do some soldering tonight.

Is the spreadsheet being updated on a regular basis? I keep checking it to see if mine has been shipped ^^Did you order a Sprit pcb? If you did you're waiting on Leandren receiving the rest, and I bet he'll post on here when he gets them. I'm also pretty sure he's keeping the sheet updated.
@LeandreN: are you gonna sell stabilizers on your website any time soon?If I can get a good and reliable source I will definitely try to do that!

Now looking for a heavy steady alu case, any recommendations?
I have indeed seen that one, but the shipping is a little pricey to the netherlands. and on Alieexpress they don't have the right color (black or silver)Okay. I don't know of any else unless you search "GH60" on Aliexpress.
Best would be like Duck or LZ
Yep, I know SPRiT fro a long time, and even if there were some delays in the end he always delivers. I too have an order waiting and I don't worry, he will send my stuff and it will be a nice surprise as always.

So, everything arrived safe and sound, no bending! I am just a littel confused. I can't find the mounting postitions for the side LEDs like in this video that was posted with the info about the PCB http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLG-nNBTnoggGvpK5i9XM3w/videos Can anybody help me with that?
Not a reply from SPRiT this day.
I really expected him to contact me by now. It has been over a week.
He needed to send a lot of PCBs, and some parts.
I don't have the funds to refund everyone 100%, as the payments went to pay the supplier, freight, packaging material, taxes, more taxes and investments.
If you want me to ship out the order as it is, let me know.
If you want to wait for SPRiT, that's fine.
I can refund you (I feel obligated too), but I don't think that would be the best solution for me as of now. I can only refund the parts missing in that case.
This is a difficult case for me, and hopes aren't lost, I just feel like there has been a long delay.
I sincerely apologise,
LeandreN

Hopefully my CF plate will come in the mail today.I know a guy who would love one!
I'm actually going to use it on a much larger board I don't have a plate for , but if it does not work, I may end up re-selling it, so if any of you guys missed out on one of the 5 Carbon Fiber plates, you may have another chance.

Hi, I just finished my build today and it surely was fun but I have quite a big problem. The keyboard stopped working after sometime and pluging it out and in again, the PC did not identify it. I tried to upgrade the firmware but it said "problems downloading.." and now it stopped working at all. Did I kill something on the keyboard or is it possible to reset the firmware somehow? thanksNot great.
Is it possible to reset the firmware somehow?SPRiT's 60% is a FaceW so you can use this tutorial (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=58945.0).
Thank you, I already posted there too, and tried everything written there. The Problem is my board does not get into the bootloader I guess.Meaning it doesn't get into bootloader state by plugging the usb cable with the Q key pressed down?
Yes it will not be recognized by Windows

about half the plates that i've ordered show up bent, pro tip to everyone. bubble envelopes are not the proper way to ship plates.

This is going to be awesome. Also seems like a bunch of us got the Tex acrylic cases for this. Kinda perfect for the sprit PCB.

Do you guys think the plate and sprit pcb will fit in an Eagle case? I know the Duck cases tend to be fairly wonky in terms of screw placement.

Sprit PCB mounting holes are the same the a Poker's. Check out these couple of posts where someone asked basically the reverse: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=74953.msg1858270#msg1858270, shows the mounting positions of both though. At a glance, looks like maybe a few mounts align?

Just wanted to show off what I put together with the order from LeandreN!Wow.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/x6AeoNc.jpg)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/KFHCiDy.jpg)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/5WRHaGK.jpg)
LeandreN's purple plate and Sprit blue PCB, ultraviolet LEDs, SIP socketed, Gateron clear's dyed violet, el cheapo clear case from Aliexpress, Sprit gold stabs (7u space bar). Going to put JTK purple/white on it when it arrives. I'm really happy with it!
If you want to see me build a SPRiT keyboard, look no further.
It's a bit intense, but it'll do :)If you want to see me build a SPRiT keyboard, look no further.
This'll be great for all the first timers. You're a champ Leandren.

Is there a plate available? Maybe some leftovers?Have you checked the site? There are a few colors available. I was able to order a blue one yesterday.
Hey, finished my build yesterday!Saw it on Reddit. Thanks for posting! Awesome build.
Really like the final result and the whole process, thanks LeandreN! :D

Hey, some of you were looking for a case. I just saw Dulphin has lowered the price. 60$ shipped is VERY reasonable for Europe and for an acrylic case. 70$ is also a great shipped price for International.

I haven't tried the TEX acrylic, but this one feels really nice and solid to be honest.Hey, some of you were looking for a case. I just saw Dulphin has lowered the price. 60$ shipped is VERY reasonable for Europe and for an acrylic case. 70$ is also a great shipped price for International.

Thank you for the reference. How does this case compare with the Tex Acrylic CNC case?
Most of you have received your orders now?
Got mine today! Plate is perfect! The PCB is missing a resistor (?) on the 2 though. Should I be worried about this, or will it still work fine.Depends if its a resistor or a diode. If you're missing a diode you'd better ****ing solder one on. If you're missing a resistor and you're not planning on using an LED on that key, then no problem, but if you are then you should add one. Also, another Burlington person??? This is getting out of control.
Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Haha. You're not the first person to say that though. :))Got mine today! Plate is perfect! The PCB is missing a resistor (?) on the 2 though. It looks like it was soldered at some point, but broke off? Any advice?
I won't be doing much with it. Mostly using this board for typing at school I think. I wanted to run LEDs in all of the switches though. I know nothing about this kind of thing though. I can solder just fine. If I'm using LEDS, should I solder a new diode in? What diode do I need and where can I get it? Haha. Like I said, I know nothing. Anything helps. It looks like it was soldered at some point, but broke off? Any advice?
Diodes are dirt cheap. and there's holes for a through hole one if you don't want to do an smd. Or you could just jump it with a small wire, diodes are there to fix ghosting and masking when multiple keys are pressed at once. How many keycombo's are you making where you're holding down "2" ?

I probably know the answer to this question, but are there any extras? I cant find a sprit PCB anywhere.
Is he going to start his GB thread and orders again?I probably know the answer to this question, but are there any extras? I cant find a sprit PCB anywhere.
In case there's not any left over, SPRiT recently made a deal with MK.com to carry his PCBs:
https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1351
59$ and free shipping. 5 left.

I highly doubt it. He's AWOL it seems. Logging on every now and again but never posting or answering PMs/emails.
If you really really want to keep supporting his behavior, I would buy his PCBs from the MK.com site. You'll get the PCB faster that way.. Sad, but true.
You know a planck PCB won't fit this plate?
If a round 2 does end up happening I would love if it could be TKL or even 75%. There's far too many choices for 60%, big boards need lovin too!Second for 75%.

Not a bad idea! Third'd.
60% case...very interesting ? Do you have an estimate when it will be available ?A generic 60% case would be possible, but I am thinking about designing a 75% case
design is done(aluminium milled)
Not confirming anything yet :)design is done(aluminium milled)
OMG, patience is a virtue, I'll wait for your GB. I prefer the sturdiness of an aluminium case :) Looking forward to see your design

75% cases are hard to find
Thats also a reason to not do a GB...75% cases are hard to find
Indeed. It's probably one of the least popular or common layouts for mechanicals these days.
When you will have more PCBs?
Megasale on mechmarket tonight. Just FYI.
You cool with people pming you here for stuff on reddit when you post it?Yeah. Cool. Up on mechmarket/new now!
That is looking awesome especially with the purple caps i can see hiding at the top. Looking forward to seeing the finished board.

Been Using Gateron Blues for the last 7 months and 4 months ago switched in 68g Sprit gold springs. This new guy has 68g on the big modifiers and 62g norms so its weird because everything feels pretty even in terms of force instead of the modifiers feeling like they are less.
These are the closest feeling to an alps that is a Cherry mechanism and yeah they are the best. Way better than the cherry blues or greens. No grit, more tactile, more thock with less high pitched click, less rattle, can be silenced, and cheaper to boot. Kailh is the only one of these off brand guys that are not even matching the quality of the original.
Pretty much done. Looks great! :thumb:No Issues with the 3MM LEDs as I really tucked them in there. It clears with less than a mm of total clearance for the downstroke. However, Cherry profile was just perfect for this choice as it really lets the keys glow nicely underneath. Still, need to install the underglow LEDs which will be mostly white.
Any problems with the 3mm LEDs bumping against the keycaps? I've run into that problem with those bottom mounted 3mm LEDs and Cherry profile caps in general.
Hey, how the hell did you get a color named after you? Who do I have to bribe to get Black named after me? Shruggie Black! It's in my theme... Haha
Haven't got enough parts?
