recently every time I want to run a video on YT, it takes like good 40-70 secs to open a movie. I guess that's adblocker doing something, but this should not be like that! Its terrible - without adblocker, I can't stand all those adverts!

Even on firefox?

That's too bad, I thought it was a really nice set. And it was expensive but pretty much everything is these days. Maybe someday in another profile.

Thank you Kenny and Francesco, I know you both did all you could to make this happen in spite of how expensive SA has become over just the past couple of months since Violets and Teletype ran. I know I and some other designers I've spoken with have been moving SA designs to DCS, as a cheaper option. It's a shame, since all of the typewriter novelty legends already exist in SA.

Thank you to those who did buy in! As Kenny said, you should be receiving your refunds shortly. Next up for me is a revised interest check for DCS Lil' Lav, with expanded kitting and fixed colors. And then DCS Late Antiquity, a spin on the bootleg "Rome" colorway, focused on art and architecture from the late empire/early Byzantine period.

Unfortunately after discussed with Piper and Coffeekeys (EU Vendor) this set did not have the necessary orders to make it to the MOQ. We were still at less than 10 orders for the majority of the kits. We had hopped to see this cross the finish line and get this fun colored SA set out into the world but the state of pricing from SP has pushed this to high for the majority of folks. We're incredibly thankful for all of the support that did occur and for those who participated you should have gotten an email from Saberkeebs or Coffeekeys with refund discussions.

i always take out the pcb to change switches, as most of my keyboards have no spacers (apart from the switches) between pcb and plate. i have pcbs that have seen upwards of 20 "switch switches" and exhibit no problems at all. as `LightningXI` said: treat it with the appropriate care and it will do what it was design for.

Today I worked together with @Keytamin, who has been helping me a lot with the plate and assembly. He just finished building the top mount with MX Black without using my metal accessory kit.
The result was great! There wasn’t even the slightest hollow sound with the MX Black hehe.
That means I’m now ready to prepare for the GB !!!

Hello
This is a sound test I just did for +84 with the final plate cutout, using a Pour Topmount mounting, and there is almost no hollow sound at all (Actually I can still hear a tiny bit of the characteristic metal sound of topmount near the keys close to the mounting points, but it’s very minimal).

I’m testing on a hotswap PCB and haven’t really fine-tuned the spacebar stabilizers yet.
In the video, at the last few seconds, you’ll see the issue with the MX Black that I mentioned in "working-with-nuxros” yesterday you’ll need to adjust the spacing a bit to get an even and better sound.

Let me share more details with you about the +84 project.
Over the past few days, I’ve been cutting and testing many different plate variations to find the best cut out design for optimal sound performance.

1. The first issue

The stock black plate that came with the keyboard was laser-cut by KZW instead of being CNC-milled.
Because laser cutting generates heat, the switch holes were slightly misaligned, causing the plate to warp during assembly.
As a result, when installed, it produced unwanted reverb due to these small inaccuracies.

2. The second test

I then cut a new CNC plate myself – the raw-colored one next to the black version.
I experimented with cutouts around the screw positions, similar to Jane or Merisi boards.
However, this led to more vibration.
I also opened up the spacebar cutout for better acoustics, but it ended up being too wide, causing sound leakage and uneven tone.
I even made the stab area more open to make it easier for users to remove stabilizers, but this unintentionally made the spacebar rattle more.

3. The third version

For the third one, I kept the same design as the black plate, but switched from laser to CNC cutting.
The sound was much cleaner, though the spacebar tone was still not fully balanced.

4.The final version

The version I’m currently assembling is the final revision, made with the help of my close friend @Keytamin.
He gave me great advice and helped me refine the spacebar cut out, resulting in the best sound I’ve achieved so far.

In this final version, I also added mounting holes for those who plan to use Venom TKL HE PCB.
I’ve already sent the files for CNC production of the PCBSnap plates based on this final top-mount design, and I’ll continue to update everyone once I receive them.
