So today, I tried to login to my bank account, and my account was suspended. I called to see what was going on. Want to take a guess? This guy is disputing a payment via Chase QuickPay. Really!? Over a month and a half ago... Why is this **** allowed?

Whoa! So I can get my money back for that poker I bought when you were drunk? Awesome.....brb..... ;)

But seriously!! When I read through the Chase QuickPay stuff I thought it was done and done.....no going back, that's what I thought was the benefit of it.

And to think he tried to sell me that DSA retro he bought from you moose....glad I stayed away from that.....

I hope you get this sorted and it might be worth it to get the authorities involved, do you know anyone who is a cop or detective or anything that could help?

Might also talk to a lawyer and explain and see what they say, although I fear they will just be like, 'it's the internet, tuff noogies'

This whole deal keeps getting worse.

That's what I thought too!! I was completely stunned when they suspended my account and took the money, saying that the whole deal was done. No contact, no asking me my side, no nothing. It's jawdropping. I'm going to call again today, and let them really have it. I felt bad yelling at the lady I did last night, because she obviously had no way to help or could do nothing, so I'm definitely going to go as high as I need to. What kind of service for payments only listens to one side?

And what upset me even more: the lady said, "we listened to your side; that's why we reactivated your account." Seriously!? My account shouldn't have even been suspended for this ****. They should have called me or something.

edit: Honestly, at this point, I'm more upset with my bank. Obviously, Lbeuol is a sad individual, so I have forgiven him for his upsetting actions.

Here's the thing, too.  All this is effectively turning into both mail and wire fraud.  These are actual serious charges that can be brought against someone provided a case could be made.

So some semi good news. I just spent over an hour on the phone with Chase, filing a claim. I gave them all the information I had and that I received, and there's a possibility that this claim may result in good news for me! YAAAAYYY!!

That will be awesome, still how terrible that its surprising good news when a major corporation does the right thing. If you got someone to listen, that is half the battle I think. Good luck.

I hope so too. The truth is, when I gave the claims lady a chance to explain the other side, I could understand exactly where they were coming from, especially being that I've been a victim of fraud before ("If you were the victim, how would you feel if we contacted the other party and gave them ample time to withdraw the money or close their account?"). But, the actual truth is I was the victim of fraud, because this person was lying about being defrauded and making false claims. So, that was what took the most time: convincing them that I was the victim of the other person's fraud and false claim. And the lady was understanding and listened, and I'm grateful for that.

Thanks Bunny! Another positive, as well as a partial negative: the second of three PayPal transaction charged back was found in my favor (second highest amount). Unfortunately, the third didn't come out as well (luckily the lowest amount). I don't see why not because they sided with me on the others, but what can I do...? But they did say they're still discussing with the CC company, so here's hoping on that one as well. If that clears up, I will be PayPal home again!

Oh, and my amount does total over $500 when you count goods accepted, as well as money for false claims (goods total well above money, as I'm sure you know from my sale).

I had victory :D! But, I had to dispute the initial resolution as they decided in their favor at first, saying I sent it to not the address they have in paypal... because had an apartment number and on their official paypal address it does not, but the same street address and everything. So I was just like really ? Then paypal noticed it was stupid indeed and ruled on my side after some compelling logic.
The thing too, not only would I have been out the merchandise plus $90ish but also an additional $20 for chargeback fee. It's really quite absurd.
Best of luck to anyone still dealing with this persons nonsense.

Doesn't all transactions on Paypal have an ID#? How about you all collect those, and in your disputes list them and Paypal should notice how they all have one common denominator and perhaps make things easier for you all?

I don't think thats how it works, I think they're just a continuous chain. But if PayPal haven't made the connection (and I really hope they have) someone needs to point  it out to them.

I put a link to this very thread in my dispute response. Problem is there is not anything but a username in here for them which does not tell them anything to identify. I don't think mods will allow us to post all their details, or maybe? If we can all do that maybe it helps. Really I think paypal should ban them at the very least.

Did you not have the person's details? I gave Chase all of the person's details that I had, including name, address, and email addresses, and asked them to compare that info to the account information, and see who was lying. I also gave them a tracking number to show that I did actually ship something to that address. I would imagine if you shipped to a verified address, you are good. The address was verified when I sent.

I need to call PayPal and talk to them (or do they have an online chat thing?). I don't see how the sided with me on two transactions but not the third. They're all in the same boat.

I'd get with them and see about that, I mean 2 out of 3 aint bad in horsehoes or golf but when it's fraud 3's a charm!!

I can't tell for certain if they're still disputing the chargeback settlement with the CC company or if they closed it because I "didn't qualify for seller protection".

None of my transaction IDs work for contacting them, though.

They said that they were still fighting for me on the chargeback settlement. I think it's stupid that they can impose $15-20 fees... I mean, in reality, IF I was a scammer, this is a legal matter, not civil. Take me to court, and bring Lbeuol with you and hook everyone up to a lie detector test.

So as much as I'm opposed to paying for this guys hatred, revenge, and lies, as well as stupidly priced fees, I'm actually contemplating just paying that amount right now so I can have my damn PayPal account back...

Does anyone think that would be a bad decision on my part as far as how it looks to PayPal while I continue to fight this? Because I don't want them to think they should stop fighting for my money.

You've come this far, I think you should see it out. I'm not sure what PayPal would do if you did pay it back, maybe give there customer support team a ring to see if it would negatively affect you?

That's what I'm thinking. At this point, it's only ~$36. In the whole scheme of things, I could have lost so much more, and I've been out of a PayPal account, so have been unable to make sales, and have had a hard time buying things (some people have offered to help me, but I don't like putting other people in harms way...).

Is it worth $36 to you to keep fighting this?

Or would you pay $36 for the convenience of just being able to go on as you have been before this happened?

Just so long as no negative finding is recorded against your account.

i am fairly confindent that if you jsut choose to pay, there are no negative connotations recorded against your account or your limits, it may be worth a call to check on that but i once chose to settle an ebay thing many years ago buy jsut paying it instead of fighting it as the 30 bucks or whatever it was just wasnt worth my time dealing with then idiot

I've done many deals on the internet, and this was the first negative thing to ever happen to me, so I guess it was bound to happen eventually. I'll just take a couple more precautionary measures in the future so that at least IF it does happen, I know what it takes to protect me as a seller.

So, after that deal with Chase, where they gave me my money back, they ended up taking it back again about a week later. At that point, I figured there was no point in talking about this anymore, and that I had lost my money.

Then, last week, PayPal emailed me saying that the person's credit card company had resolved in my favor after all of the research. So I called Chase back up and let them know that, showing evidence. With that last piece of evidence, they overturned it and resolved in my favor.

4 months later, I finally have all of the money that was rightfully mine.

It took me about the same amount of time and I still lost the $20 that paypal charged for the chargeback fee.

Either way, I'm glad I don't have to think about this particular loser anymore.

I would call PayPal and tell them. They returned the chargeback fee to me.

A happy ending :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
