Super Cheap Cheery Switches
« on: Wed, 26 March 2014, 12:56:45 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEERY-MX-SUPER-BLACK-150cn-150g-keyboard-switch-Extremely-RARE-/281135270615
Only $15 a switch! Cheery is a actually an up and coming switch company, started after a few Cherry employees created their own company.

What makes me not so Cheery about this seller, is that he has 97% positive feedback.  :))

If you guys are so desperate for fake Cherry switches, in a couple months I should get some delivered. I would be happy to sell them for the cost of shipping. Now wouldn't they make perfect companions to someone's Cheat keyboard. Fakes on a Cheat, how appropriate!

Which are the exact switches I want, but seller doesn't accept offers, doesn't respond to messages or skype messages.

And these might be not legit as mentioned in other threads.

Too much risk, too expensive, no thanks :(

That's what they are, aren't they?

Oh, and I just noticed the thread title says "Cheery" switches - very cheerful :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If I am going to buy a single rare switch from you, I want to be sure that it is in original and pristine condition. That means that I want to be sure that it does not contain too much dust and that all components are original - which means that I do NOT want you to have disassembled it.

$15 might be a rip-off for one switch, but those super blacks are pretty rare.  They are horrible to type on, btw, but they are still super rare.  150g linear blacks!  zomg.  wet newspaper hell.   Those super blacks are for susquatch fingers or something.

BUT, that seller does have one Filco numpad with MX Browns left.  Price is $69.99, which ain't bad.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Filco-Majestouch-mechanical-keyboard-TENKEYPAD-Brown-switch-keypad-numpad-/271255570702?pt=US_Wholesale_Computer_Accessories&hash=item3f2817890e

There are 4 watchers for 1 numpad, so jump on it if you need a numpad.  Filco numpads are excellent quality, but they have the stupid "00" key.  Why don't have the big 0 Filco?  Anyway, if you need a numpad, that Filco is a good'un, even with the 00.  No joke.

Hmm, can't decide between his Falco Mastertouch with Cheery MX black switches or the Realfarce 104.

How about buying my IMB Barking Spring Model F Kisssaver; only $80. Comes with genuine saw marks on the sides.  :D Sold as-is, of course, but since everybody here will happily buy a Kishsaver sight unseen that shouldn't be a problem.

He wasn't saying you were mocking, he meant this entire thread being in great finds was just making fun of the fact those switches are ~$15 each AND in the auction title and description it says Cheery switch not Cherry switch. Like the threads about the $1000 dollar model m's with 'crystals' :D

How about buying a genuine Chery for just a few thousand bucks. (Chery = brand of Chinese-made car that reportedly once failed all the European car safety tests.)
