"I like how it feels 'clicky,' but it doesn't make noise." In response to my brown switches after I switched from blues.

"Don't your other keyboards work just fine?!"

Yes. Yes they do. But I need more.

"That thing sounds like a damn typewriter" referring to anything with clicky switches.

"But you cannot use more than one keyboard"
A friend with 8 guns said that to me. . .as if he could use more than one of those at the same time

Could technically use 2 handguns at the same time...
Ergodox - You could technically use 2 keyboards at a time.

I usually say "You can't wear more than one pair of shoes, but you still own more than one" or something to that effect.

Ooooh, that's good. I'm going to use that.

One of the 'corporate' IT guys was going around to every pc yesterday and manually updating the virus software with his flash drive and as he begins to type on my keyboard he stops lifts his hands off the keyboard and looks and me with a stupid grin and goes 'wow this is a really nice keyboard, its so smooth and nice to type on.'

I was like 'yeah I'm into keyboards as a hobby, I buy all my own input gear.' Then of course he used the mouse and was like wow its so sensitive (its only 8200 DPI)....then he goes, yeah for me I use all razer gear since I'm into gaming and stuff, he then proceeded to tell me more than I ever wanted to know about his gaming abilities with his razer gear.

"You can't even see the letters on your keyboard?!"

"Where are the letters?"

NO DOUBLESHOTS NOW, ONLY BLANKS

But with Tai Hao they put the shot in even if the key is blank.
Next level **** right there. #doubleshotblanks
Kek. (I am aware that Tai Hao is trash)

Just twenty minutes ago:

"Where'd you get that keyboard?"
> I explain my Ergodox's custom-built nature.
"Wow! It looks like it would be comfortable to type on."
> I share the ergonomic benefits of the tented and split (and lovely) Ergodox.
"Pretty l33t." (Or "(e)'lite"?)
> I explain the programmable firmware layers (number pad, nav keys).
"Whoa, that's too l33t for me."

That's right, I am too l33t. Interestingly, one guy at work has a TrulyErgonomic.

When I told my friend I was selling some caps for $100 he said "Wow, there must be some pretty stupid people out there."

Thanks, I am one of those stupid people.

I don't consider myself one to be putting money into tons of boards. But I still get the "you're ****ing insane. It's pointless" and "that's stupid, like what the **** is a mechanical keyboard?"
