The 1.5u mod keys are for WKL layouts, not the Minivan. The WKL people don't need 1.5u OS key.
And in case you're not aware, the Minivan - or rather, its creator - is a controversial topic among keycap designers, due ot his past behaviors.

The 1.5u mod keys are for WKL layouts, not the Minivan. The WKL people don't need 1.5u OS key.

Um, sure but none of the renders are of WKL kbs though and one of the renders is of the minivan so the ask seems pretty relevant to me. Plus many Mac compatibility kits have 1.5 for both command and option buttons.

Yeah, I gathered that from the now-locked Olivia thread. But I'm not him and I think the designer community basically telling the owner community to eff off because of what that guy did is quite frankly, childish and petty. There are other keyboards out there with a similar if not the same layout and it's ridiculous to punish people that own those keyboards, especially considering TVK's not even in business anymore.

The thing is, base kit configs are always a sensitive topic, since you're essentially asking everyone to pay more to support YOUR keyboard and not theirs.
The Minivan is a very niche keyboard, especially now that the seller has closed shop. Few (if not no) other 40% keyboards have the luxury of space for a 1.5u mod key.
I hope you understand what you are really asking of OP *and* everyone here.

Literally everyone that provides feedback to ICs is asking an IC runner to provide support for a keyboard they own and I'm not the only minivan owner.

And me merely asking for a single key is not asking "everyone here" to support my keyboard any more than it is ISO owners asking me to support *2* enter keys in the base kit or to Alice owners asking me to support their extra B key in the test units kit. You get and pay for keys that aren't relevant to you; that's just the reality of any GB.  All of my keyboards are TKL or less, so are you telling me in every IC should I start complaining about supporting everyone else's num pad in the base kit?

I'm asking about 1 key, which I've already explained is relevant beyond the minivan (not to mention I pointed out a potentially redundant caps lock key, so nothing changes by eliminating that and adding what I asked about). If FullMetal says "I'm not doing that" then cool, no harm no foul - I'm not going to stomp my feet and pitch a fit; it was just a request which is literally the point of ICs. But you implying it's ridiculous for me to ask and that it's some burden on the entire community is silly considering - again, louder and slower - a minivan is one of the renders; asking for minivan support isn't out of line. If FullMetal doesn't want to support the board, that's fine, I get it, again no harm no foul. But then they should take it out of the renders to avoid confusion.

Not sure I follow - in Mod Type S, there's 4 honeycombs (two 1.5u and two 1.25u) and there's 4 striped (two 1.5u and two 1.25u). Doesn't that cover what you're asking for? What am I missing here?

You are right, I was reading it wrong. Glitch in my system I guess, I thought it said 1.25 by all the honeycombed keys & all 1.5 by the striped keys & even did a double take before I posted LOL!

I thought I wouldn't buy any more keycaps, but this one I can't resist.

The renders look great but the keycaps look too bright, it difficult to imagine what it looks like in real life.

I'm actually gonna swing the entire opposite direction. I have a 75% with the Maxkey Berserk SA caps that I use at work, because of space and frankly, because it looks cool, but for the home board I'm going to build with these caps I'm going full 100%, because I want the full effect and the use of all the novelties, also that's what I use for gaming, and often a lot of the games I play like Dwarf Fortress have odd keybindings and sometimes require the entire set.

I'm thinking kailh box jades as well, I love that sound. My work one is 78g Zilents so my coworkers don't brain me with my board because of the sound lol

My 2c regarding the current kits below:

1) R4 Pg down must have been forgotten in the base set? There is Page Up R3 but no Pg Down to compliment it below.
2) Consider adding 1u R3 novelty for Mod Type-S. 65% users can make a pure novelty rightmost mod column. Would be quite nice.
3) Maybe add one 1.75u R3 novelty for Capslock. Many ppl use it for Ctrl/Fn anyways and will give a nice touch to the whole set. I would go with Esc / Caps / Bottom mods / Enter. Second option might be to make one of the three 2.25u keys to 1.75u.
4) Personally prefer centered mods. I don't dig the lack of symmetry with non-centered ones with the rest of the keys.
5) I really like the Berserk secondary alphas and it's legends color. Maybe keep it as pure latin without hiragana sub legends in order to distinguish it more from the base alphas. Still not sure if i like the mixed legends on base alphas or not. For all other sets, i prefer pure latin tbh. Berserk could match well with one of my upcoming iron165's.

I hope you will think about my suggestions above :)

Not sure if the topic has been addressed earlier in the IC, but what are the chances of having the Shift and Caps icons center-aligned? And using the "modern" Caps Lock icon rather than the current one?

Apologies if this has been asked before (I skimmed but didn't see it):

Could a small kit be added that's just the WASD keys from the Berserk Alphas? Since those caps are already being offered as part of a larger kit, it seems like it should be very easy to do, and it would be nice to have the option to make those keys pop without having to buy the entire other alpha kit.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but can we get an extra Berserk 'B' alpha in the Test Unit kit?? Wanting to do a Lubrigante layout with Berserk alphas. Again, If I'm missing this being addressed somewhere, i apologize  :D

Anyways, can't wait till this goes live! I'll probably be in for 2 full kits. One of my favorite cartoons growing up. We need a Cowboy Bebop themed GMK kit next  ;D :p :thumb:

OP has been last active on 1/22, and this is slated for a Q2 release. I wouldn't worry too much... probably working out distributor/vendor and maybe artisan logistics
