Separate 40s base kit - would take sales away from the standard base kit. There's probably a reason why nobody did it but Oblotzky with Oblivion V2 which sold sh*tloads of kits

I have already tested it putting on Katakana font onto a 1u key. The problem here is you can't insert more than 4 Katakana characters on the little 1u key if you want to keep the same font size as of the rest of the set. E.g. the page down translation into Katakana would be ペジダウン. That's already 5 characters and it would be 1 too much to fit onto the 1u key. If you compare the コード keys from the Enjoypbt Kuro Shiro set, you can clearly see different font sizes were used. He cheated a little bit for the コード to fit in. That's the main reason why I didn't include 1u Katakana keys therefore I can't use Katakana on the Nav Cluster. Priority is consistency, otherwise it would look weird. I have tested it on many renders before.

I could offer a 60% compatible base kit with Katakana only but this would cut half of the market off and it wouldn't include 1u mod keys. So rather a complete set then with icon mods.

And btw Enjoypbt Kuro Shiro Nav Cluster consists mostly of Kanji (Chinese Symbols) and not Katakana

wouldn't the solution to that be to do two rows like you use for the 1.5 backspace?

Tradition mods needs to be in the base. Icon mods can be in or out. Base kit without the tradition mods defeats the whole purpose of the set.

Icons should just be thrown out to be completely honest. Bottom row icons is goddamn attrocious. So is Nav cluster, but in this particular set it can slide since there's no other way around it in terms of not using standard English text there.

First off, thank you for all the amazing feedback. You are all really great and I appreciate it. I took the time to go through every single feedback. Your opinions were heard. Unfortunately I can't realize all your wishes, because it's simply impossible, but I'll do it as best as I can. In the last few days I've been working on the kits and collaborating with Dixie creating the Katakana Alphas in order reduce the costs for the Value kit. He helps me by running a Katakana Alpha as child kit for an other upcoming GMK set. I think this is the best solution to give me the opportunity to make the Value kit full of Katakana mods or to make the current Value kit cheaper. Either way, this only offers advantages.

With icons or with Katakana? I need to test them on renders first to see the rather unusual colorway. But I like that idea

The white you used for the accent would be nice as it is.

I would go for full Katakana because weeb.

If you could do this, I would be 100% interested since I love the color combination you chose with this specific blue.

The set looks like a weeb blue cadet to me otherwise.

White accents with Katakana would look pretty slick and fit the aesthetic. I think I'd probably go for the straight blue look myself, but it would be weird for everything to be Katakana except the accent key.

Update: I would like to inform you that all venders are now known, and the Group Buy will not be far in the future. It was important to me that the GB should start as soon as possible and not sometime in the summer next year. Therefore it took longer with the US Vendor than with others because most US vendors are pretty booked for GMK sets. Group Buy will be in Q1 2020

Thanks to your valueable feedback I have finally decided to include the Tradition mods in the Value kit and offer the icon mods as a separate kit. Since the Katakana Alphas molds now exist with GMK Terra, the price will remain affordable. Here is the result of the Google form with the question "Tradition kit into Base kit and icon mods into a separate kit?" Your explanations to the decision were really helpful and helped me to decide a lot. I didn't expect to receive so many answers.

You can see that most of you prefer Katakana mods, which is understandable, because it is very unique and has never existed before. I am working on the Japanese mods and I think it might take a few weeks until it's ready. Have some patience!

There will be definitely white Katakana accent keys in the Base kit. You don't need to worry about that

Unpopular opinion, I definitely enjoy seeing the white only on the accent keys. Reminds me more of a delicate touch used to complete a single, masterful piece.
