Hi everyone, thanks for the overwhelming response. I've attached 2 additional renders in the OP, will do the same here:

1. WKL:
That's not a layout we'll explore for now.
2. Polycarbonate case:Poly cases tend to have really high failure rates. For example, when we were doing poly KFEs our failure rate due to warping etc was 1:3.
We might look at that material as case material in the future.
3. How does it all fit together?
Here's an exploded view - credit to biso who spent countless hours figuring out the whole screw situation.
4. Weights:We've decided to go with an all aluminium construction for our first round, and as some of you have noticed weight is a factor when I pitched the idea to biso as I wanted a lighter travel keyboard that included modern design aesthetics and electronics.
If you'd prefer a heftier board, the SE should be up your alley as the entire bottom piece will be machined out of stainless steel.
5. The current economic situation:Now I understand that this is not the best time for many of us to go around purchasing keyboards, so I'd like to take this chance to encourage those who might be planning to spend emergency / important funds on this board to hold off.
We will have more
Kei rounds in the future though the colour choices might change, so please take care of yourselves out there.
