Hey everyone! S3LQ here, hoping everyone is doing good in this pandemic, I am at least holding up. I recently joined this hobby and think this is great! Love how welcoming the community is, and how helpful people are! So since I've basically been stuck here in my home in Norway, I thought why not combine my 6 years experience of designing and try to design a keycap set and even some deskmats!

Inspiration

I see a lot of designers bringing inspiration from a certain theme, for me, it was quite different. I do obviously have inspirations, but not inspirations I thought it would be cool to design the theme around. So rather I chose a name. I wanted to design a set called "Zoom", I thought it was a great name and I just kept on designing after the name. After posting the IC I got a lot of feedback about the name. And after reading through a lot of you guys' feedback, I figured a name change was the move. I wanted a fitting name for the colors and novelties. So I chose the name, Evil Dolch!

[Custom] ^Cables

I've collaberated with Swiftcables and we've made 4 different custom coiled cable variants with colored aviators that's matching GMK Evil Dolch! We have 2 different paracords, Black paracord with black tech-flex and Red Camo paracord with carbon tech-flex. Both paracords will come with a coil and a colored aviator where the customer can decide between red or black! These cables will be sold through: Projectcables.com

There IS one UK key, though: R4 \| in the base kit. But all the others are missing.


Other than this error, that base kit is the best I've seen in a while.

Consider adding an extra B (either in the base kit or, better, in the space bars kit). Consider adding an alpha-colored F13 IF people ask for it. Otherwise, keep the base kit exactly as is right now.

Normally I have to think about a set to determine if I like it or not but not this one. I really like the look of this set and honestly surprised no one has dont these colors yet. Looks amazing and I am in love with that first deskmat design.

why not use stock colors. CR is basically jet black. RO1 is burgundy or pretty close to what looks like your red wine. I'm sure the others arent too far off as well

I did go through a lot of color matching and checking what fit well together. But I just didn't find a good match with the stock colors, I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I tested out with Pantone and ral. And found out that RAL was what I was looking for!

two ideas that probably don't go anywhere:
-If you made an ortho 40s kit, and you put red split bars in it, I'd probably go in for those.
-evil alphas? red legends vs the light color thats there?

The kanji letter means «Real», I put this as a novelty since I think the symbol is nicelooking, and being real is always important

I renamed from Zoom to Evil Dolch so it would fit better. Evil since of the red theme and style, and dolch because of the colorway

I like colors.
But layout support is not enough for me.
Would need at least better ISO support:
- R3 Tilde/left-single-quote
- R3 AT/left-single-quote
- R3 Tilde/hash
Any hopes to add French and/or Russian and/or Arabic? (also in ISO layout?).

Okay, coming in for another pass... 

Core module:
- R1 \| there is a mod-colored version, but not an alpha-colored version (I would say the latter is more important than the former).
- Consider having mod-colored F1..F4 and F9..F12 keys (in addition to the alpha-colored ones; perhaps in a child kit?).

Nordeuk module:
- The AltGr keys are missing.
- The kit has too many alphas missing... but there are too many present if you go through the dreadful "ne tertiaries!" route. Notably, 2" is missing, although 2"² is present. Check out http://www.farah.cl/Keyboardery/Possible-International-Kits-for-Custom-Sets/#NORDEUKPPP for a full reference for your module.

Liquify deskmat design: lovely. I'll definitely be getting one.
