Good evening Ladies and Gents today I would like to introduce you to DSA Nineteen Thirty A new Keycap set Designed by Prkns & Ulliam and proudly produced by Cannon Keys!

NicePBT Will be manufacturing the set through Cannon Keys and Shipping is set for August 2021!

Inspired by Rubberhose animations and the birth of sound cartoons and their modern contemporaries, In glorious DSA, made from PBT & Using an all new manufacturing process. With maximal compatibility in mind without further adieu let me share with you DSA Nineteen Thirty!

March 1st - April 1st

Using a new method of Keycap manufacturing to produce multiple textured artisan effect keycaps that only go a step further to reinforce the theme.

The keycaps start off as a white base that are dip dyed (similar/comparable to sublimation) to the medium grey, they are then dye-sublimated black and etched back to smooth white using laser engraving.

From my experience using the keycaps there isn't a noticable difference when typing on them over standard SP DSA PBT Keycaps but if you have any other questions about the process please feel free to add them to the form or join me on discord from the link below, I’d be happy to answer anything I can!

Really cute, I dig the style you're going for! I'm not sure about the look of the non-alpha keys though. It's a bit too different in comparison. Maybe if the text was white it would fit better? Or perhaps if the alphas were dark but the mods had the alphas style instead?

For the deskmat I would like to see a version without the heads, which I think will go better with more setups.

Really nice concept, might convince me to buy DSA. But as mentioned previously, modifiers look a little bit out of place. Alphas look awesome though, so rather than messing with alphas, I would try to match modifiers to alphas.

Very interesting printing method & I love the theme! Since it's DSA I'll probably pass on this myself, but I can see it selling well. Hope to see this dyesub X lasered printing method used on a Cherry profile set sooner than later. GL with this OP, it really is a great looking set!

On the Oddities kit, I highly recommend dropping the concave 1.25u bar. This is not a 40s bar.

Further, you appear to have 3x 2.25u convex bars. You only need 1x.

In summary:
-1x 1.25u concave bar
-2x 2.25u convex bar

Is the GB really going to be in March? Is that enough time to collect feedback and make changes? Or is this less an IC and more of an ad for something that’s already scheduled? Not criticizing, just curious.

Sick as hell. Two kits should also quiet down all the people who complain about any GB that has more than Base, Novelties, and Bars. Can't wait for the ortho kit.

Open to kitting and design adjustments if that's what the community requests, theres no point producing something people don't want (:

SP don’t make this, Cannon Keys have their own manu afaik.

What is up with the kitting on these? If I wanted some of the novelties in the 2nd kit. I would require to buy both to fit my 65% board so I can still use regular text mods especially if I want the cannon novelty. Seems a slightly crappy way / scummy to get people to get everything they want is to spend money on two base kits.

Forgot to mention also where is the pricing for an GB that is 24 days away?

I don't think the modifiers need to be white, I think they'd look great still black if the font itself matched the alphas.

if you want to do that, thats up to you, but the kits were designed to accomdate as many layouts as possible if that meant dropping a novelty from one then so be it, no ones forcing you to buy an entire kit to get a novelty, I'd hope most people would just use a different key.

Feel like would been easier to make a novelties kit cause all the pieces for 40s ergo etc would have fit in base with these sizes

There's an image with samples(?) of Cannon Keys Logo, Ulium Logo, and Horns palm OUT. However, the kitting renders show Horns palm IN. Which will be included in the final kitting?
I would prefer the sample Image of Horns palm OUT for what that is worth.
Also wondering if you would consider adding 3u convex bars to the kits. Not sure if that is even an option but there are a few ergo boards that use 3u and I tend to prefer them.
Otherwise I am very interested in this set!
