Kind of looking at this as a beater high end. Something that gives me the feel and aesthetic but I don't have to worry about scratches and blemishes if I decide to throw it in my backpack and take it away from the desk.

Would those bother you?

Besides stabilizers that need a little work, what else is anyone complaining about? I only watched TaehaTypes full review of it so I'm unaware.

I've seen some issues, like bricking the board after necessary firmware update on arrival, some keys not responding, some imperfections of the chassis finish.
Those stabs will be a pain, reviewers had problems with swapping them with Durock for example, saying you would need to shave off a bit to push in.

I want a high end TKL board, dont really need this, but still weird urge told me to order it

I'll need to take a closer look at some other reviews then. Definitely haven't heard about them bricking. That's a dealbreaker. Playing with plates/stabilizers is not a big deal to me. It might be annoying but then I've purchased plates from KBD that doesn't accept any MX style switch because the dimensions were too tight. I'd rather trim a little off a few stab holes than 60 individual switch sockets.

Either way, thanks for the heads up and I'm going to go watch some more reviews.

Don't remember which one was it, but the guy got two keyboards and bricked one after initial update.
It could be just one incident, not saying that all will be DOA.

Well for better or for worse, I reserved one. Seems like only Brandon had that situation happen to him regarding the bricking. Even though Nathan has a very particular style he seems to go for that isn't always for me, I trust his opinion on the rest. Badseedtech suggested he didn't have as much of the fitting issues for the stabilizers too.

As I sit here now, I'm pondering why I was so quick to pick up that board and I think it's the volume knob. Right now I tend to reach for the volume knob on my headset instead of the volume control on the computer and for some non-reason that bugs me. I'm hoping through QMK/VIA I'll be able to change it's use or even put layers on it so I could do other fun things with it.

I assume that reviewer was referring specifically to the Glorious Core software. In QMK, you should be able to program the press like a regular switch and the turn like any rotary encoder. Here you can see the default GMMK Pro keymap.c file where they configure the volume up/down keycodes when turning it. And here's an example (different keyboard) of someone coding rotary turns depending on the layer.

- Over compressed gasket mount design - This is a design flaw, but still better than an integrated mount

With all that said, I'm planning to get one and decide after I get it if I will keep it. It still looks like a decent board. If you are on fence because you think over $125 is too much for a board, then this board is for you. If you currently have keyboards (not Logitech/Razer/Corsair) that's over $200, then you should skip this board. This board are for those that consider $100-200 for a 'custom' board appropriately priced.

If you experienced with custom keyboards over $250-500 range, then skip. If you are using a Corsair/Logitech/Razer keyboard right now, you should consider this board. The other boards that I consider competes with GMMK Pro are the Idabao ID80v2, Ikki68 Aurora, Rama Kara, Bauer Lite, KDB67, Portico. At which point, the GMMK Pro still a fair buy against those. Although I'd say the Aurora is my favorite of those.

The Glorious software may be limited but with it using QMK you shouldn't be limited to just their software and even if they try that, someone will bypass that limitation.

That's one of the nice things about open source.

in the original GB they said there would be multiples runs, and hopefully now that the tooling is paid maybe even cheaper
