An allusion to High Renaissance art and the value of the pigment ultramarine

GMK Lazurite takes inspiration from the mineral lazurite found in lapis lazuli, processed and turned into a pigment called ultramarine. It was used by High Renaissance painters for the color blue, and was even priced more than the value of gold.

I'm not a fan of the base kit, but the Alt Alpha + Blue High Renaissance is a banger

And holy cow that's a lot of collabs. IMO the number of collabs detracts from the set itself (which is more than enough to stand alone). I counted 30 collabs. Gotta collect 'em all I guess.

Yes I get a lot of feedback/criticisms (maybe) for having a lot of collaborations. Majority of these collabs (especially artisan keycaps) are fairly new in the hobby and I believe I can be a bridge for them to have another platform to share their amazing craft. Of course it is mutually beneficial for the keyset and the collaborator; and that’s how it should be. By doing this, I was also able to gain a lot of friends in them along the way and get to learn more of the work poured into their craft.

Another consideration I had is the frustration of GB participants who buy a keyset and want a themed collaboration artisan with a very slim chance of winning raffle sales. It’s been a very tough project management for me but rest assured I make sure to not miss in promoting every collab in all platforms where Lazurite is uploaded. The design I envisioned was for the community after all and that’s how it’s supposed to be.

I’m just happy to get more involved in this hobby and to share my passion with the community. Thanks loop!

Last day to enter the Group Buy for GMK Lazurite. All kits will be made. Thank you to everyone who has supported GMK Lazurite and my journey in designing my first keyset from the beginning until the end of the GB. This wouldn't be possible without all your help. I am forever grateful for this opportunity!

Lazurite's colors and inspiration is based off lapis lazuli and the pigment ultramarine. The pigment's name came from the phrase ultra marinus which means beyond the sea; and my first keyset will always be the representation of the bond we form while we are in the hobby - a strong one that will stand the test of time even if we are far apart.

Oh! I have no idea what these final numbers are supposed to mean, but approximately how soon should would pre-order for extras become available for order? Just wondering to know how often I should check back here, or the vendor's website??

Final numbers for the keyset kits and accessories' total orders are uploaded together with the number of extras, so that the community know how much would be available to possibly acquire the set. As the designer and GB runner of Lazurite, I'll be posting updates re pre-orders inside the Discord server if in case anyone missed out on updates from different proxies/vendors. Thank you!

So now that that went so well, what are the chances of doing a GB of that gold on blue set that got nixed during the IC phase? That thing was by far the best. I was pretty bummed i had to bow out of this GB when that got cut.

Thank you for following this thread brother. I'll know once all kits are shipped out. It will depend if there are people who'd also be interested to have that variant of Lazurite once we all see it in person.

You're not the only one interested in that kit. I was planning to buy that gold on blue base with the blue on gold novelty and the 2 got cut out completely.....

You're not the only one interested in that kit. I was planning to buy that gold on blue base with the blue on gold novelty and the 2 got cut out completely.....

Same. I was still going to get in on the GB when they cut that base, but then they cut those novelties i wanted too, and i had to bow out. Such a shame, i was digging those 2 sets quite a bit. 
(Don't get me wrong, this set still turned out great, but I all ready have a couple white/blue sets- Striker,  Masterpiece-)

Same situation with the blue on gold novs, the standard base kit will go very well with BOG novelties imo. The set is great with the design, I just don't understand why BOG novelty got cut out....
