Hey everyone i came up with this design, and i really loved how the edgey-ness outcome of the design. I hope you like it~

I think it would be best if you left out your inspiration, also improve on your ic form, a simple would I buy or not for ic response is not enough.

Also this is just dolch with a snapchat filter, with the mods it looks pretty dang similar to boneyard. I'm not sure why we need to clog the GMK queue with a set like this to be honest when like keyjemm mentioned, there are a bunch of other sets already out there like this?

- What colors are you using?
- Is the enter in renders going to be included on the novelties?
- Why not wait until you had novelties to post the IC?
- How do you "forget" about a numpad?

This is the colortone ive always wanted as mention boneyard, dolch and such. they are more on the darker side as mine is on the lighter tone.
feels like another gmk bread? lol im still in IC phase not even on GB and not even pass color sampling. I did my first GB didnt have a 'bread' problem.

You know it's gonna be a good one when the DESKMAT is the first thing shown in a KEYCAP IC!!!!

This is without a doubt the cringiest name for a keycap set I've ever seen. Not only does it have nothing to do with your actual set but you're obviously very new to the community if you think GMK will allow this name if this, god forbid, ever reaches GB.

I appreciate the effort and the message you're trying to send but this could've been a regular text post on another subforum or another forum in general. But I don't think you're trying to send a message. I think you're trying to profit off said message and people who agree with it because you lack in other skills needed to make the keycap set, i.e. coming up with a good looking and original colorway, rendering, kitting etc. You're using "clone bad" marketing to compensate your lack of creative skills and make a quick buck off it. The fact that you've got Dixie mods on this makes me even more confident that you have no clue what you're doing.

It's also kind of funny that this set is basically a Modern Dolch clone or a Boneyard clone with the alt mods lol...

What? There are Inukuma clones. Clones happen either way, and usually have shocking colour inaccuracy regardless. There are Apollo and Lunar clones that already look like this set.

Giving a Pantone or RAL is meant to be a good faith thing so that customers know what they’re getting, instead of having to rely on the colour accuracy of renders and their screens. Deep Navy is a good example where the Pantone was actually correctly matched, but the renders were misleading. Without the Pantone it would’ve been worse than Bread. It’s also important so that people know how compatible the colours are with other sets, in case they need to use 40s keys from another set or something. If your only way of communicating the product is gonna be “here are some photos, just trust me, bro,” it’s not good.

For a set called F—ckclones the colours are not original at all. Seems weird that you wouldn’t post novelties when the set on its own is meh without them. Nice deskmat, but the ® is cringe.

Deskmats are fire, but I do agree with everyone else that this IC is sparse, colors can be compared heavily to several other sets, and the deskmats should not be the eye catcher in an IC for a keycap set. Currently, I would buy the deskmats but not the set itself. There is a lot of potential for this set, but the current state of this post doesn't do it justice

The color i've used for this set is the a way lighter grey compared to what modo and dolch has, in all honesty ive had this color prepped/planned for a long time. Colors can be copied, no one owns colors, but copying novelties is a no for sure. i hope this clarifies everything. if u don't dig the color or the set i would love to have a constructive feedback on kitting, as my vision is already set on the color way long ago. I've always wanted to have a very light grey tone set.

Also, the entire kitting feels like it's kinda little. It's fine if you want to have lesser caps, but if that's the case then please keep the value down. If you're going to target $125 to 135 for this kit, I think that will be a little too high, when something like GMK Mecha-01 or GMK Nightrunner R2 ran with a fuller kit for a similar or lower price range.

For a constructive comment, I think that the set design when paried with the deskmats is really nice. The colors, if as you say are lighter than other sets or different, then I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for. Hopefully we can foster more constructive less gatekept environments so that the sorts of errors in the IC that happened can be resolved prior to release and the information is more readily available.

First off, I want to say its a good try but this style, in my opinion, is just way too edgy. Second, I wanna talk about the deskmats. Especially the first one, and some elements that are on both. I wanna point out the "ISSUE #003©" on the first mat and the "ISSUE #001©" on the second. This just might be me cause It bothers me when things aren't in order, but it's just confusing. Is the keycap set itself the second issue or is it just a quirky thing? Something that also bothers me is that the L in "F*CK CLONES®" doesn't cut through the boxes, when every other element that comes in contact with a box does. I think it would look good if you chose to have  all the elements cut through or get separated by the boxes. I really don't have anything against the keycap set itself other than what you've heard already.

Honestly the deskmats deserve their own IC, I love the design - it just doesn't make sense to me to run a set with this name that so closely resembles every other grey/beige set that exists within this hobby.

100% agreed. Especially seeing it in the novelties, it feels so edgy and forced. I feel like only those that don't know the weight the word has will get them. But then again, this is nothing new.
