[IC] DCS Ponk Alert

Why?
Pink alert, but not quite =)
Originally wanted to run this keyset as a basic TKL base to support a board I was running, but people seem to want this.
Pricing we received has been nice from DCS, so wanted to extend it a bit to support more boards!

Kitting
Includes beige base, alert row, basic 65% support, basic alice support, basic HHKB support.
Excluded 40s/6.25u/numpad/UK ISO to make it fit as many people as possible, but keeping prices low.
Also forced windowed keys.

Base kit

Colors
Alphas - base WFK / legends RCR
Alert - base RCS / legends WFK
i tweaked the alphas legend color to increase legibility a bit
will get samples then decide if we wanna make that change

Pricing
$125 @100 MOQ* (tentative)
will depend on shipping prices

Vendors
Will be fulfilled by me through my shop
US - Divinikey
EU - Prototypist
KR - Geonworks
SG - Ktechs
OCE - Switchkeys

Renders

horsey by hali

horsey by hali

zeno by baul

dia by patty (nonums69)

k-iii by me

k-iii by me

Permission slip from Alessio

Changelogs
- Added vendors according to feedback
- Will add back second 1.5u super to the base kit
- Considering adding numpad kit & relegendables

Thanks
Thanks to everyone who provided render files <3
Thanks to server members for always providing useful feedback.
Thanks to tanghus for 2u spacebars.

Absolutely BASED kitting. I'm so in

Only thing that could make this better would be a beige mod kit
Pro2 Ivory | Pro2 Charcoal | RF 101 | Martingale Ver.SUS | Ogre | KFE CE

Not the most diplomatic, but the lack of 1.25u Control, Alt, and Supers is not good. On the plus side, pink is nice.

So it’s made in USA, shipped to you, then I’d pay 125$ +25 to ship plus the tariff to ship back to me in the USA?

W a US vendor so it didn’t leave the country, I’d be in.

That's a good point, I'll look into it, but would you still pay tariffs if it was a US-made product?

GLWIC.... One thing, can you do complete Escape legend on DCS like you can on SA? If so, that might be a cool change, as you chose the verbose modifiers everywhere else.

As a 7u enjoyer, no problem with the kitting, but some ANSI users might feel left out with no modifiers.

Also, why only 1 1.5u super and no mod tilde when you've worked to include a lot of HHKB stuff (6u space, dual 1u alts)?

I'll most likely add back the other 1.5u super, and there's already a mod tilde!  :thumb:

I don’t trust they’ll get that right anytime soon.

Added vendors as per feedback - would be easier than fulfilling myself. Most importantly, probably better idea to keep the US kits in US.

You could also force people to just buy minibars from sneakbox. Thus making base kit for everyone else cheaper.

Would love to see a few more 40s keys tossed in to make this viable for us small board enthusiasts.

I was really wanting DCS Pink Alert to be a thing, but unfortunately didn't make it out alive. Looking forward to this as this is the next best thing.

I'm normally a 7u enjoyer, but the board I was thinking of putting this on is 65% with 1.25u and 6.25u bottom row. Would really like it if those were added in.

Prototypist is not in EU. They are in UK. Please consider an EU vendor.

EU vendors for example are: Deltakeyco, Keebsupply, Oblotzky, Keygem, Eloquentclicks.

I understand, but they also do shipping to the EU, with VAT already pre-collected at checkout. From what I understand, bar shipping costs (which varies a bit depending on project), it is essentially the same as buying from any EU vendor.

As a customer it is exactly the same except for the shipping cost, which would vary if you weren’t in the country of the EU vendor anyway. Plenty of reasons to moan about the U.K. but PT covering orders for the EU isn’t one of them.
