I find it odd that people are complaining about this. I use the board propped up and don't really have any issues with it sliding around (and I'm on a smooth unfinished wooden desk). I guess I just push down mostly direct on the keys and don't shove it around. I had been typing on Apple Aluminums for the past few years and they slide around REALLY easily so I guess I adjusted. I kind of like moving my board around too when I want to readjust anyway so I don't like TOO much friction.

When I first got my board I was having problems with it, but after a few days I never really noticed it again.  I think you just adjust to it, but it does move more easily than I initially expected.

What wrist rest is that in the video?

That  dude's touchtyping was painful to see.  I wonder who the "Mavis Beacon" of Korea is?

I am not sure ripster. I was wondering what wrist rest is it myself. From what I can see on the lower right corner, it says CHERRY if I'm not mistaken.

I mentioned it because I'm used to my Rosewill being super heavy and it has never moved while in the middle of any game unless I pick it up and move it. I will play with my Leo on the feet to see if it stays put as well though.

Just got my Leopold Tenkeyless Otaku about ~10 mins ago!

It was alot smaller than I thought it would be, which is a very good thing for me. It's also alot lighter. Seems durable too. We'll see what happens after a few weeks. I'll post pictures later.

My Leopold came today right as I was leaving for work. I didn't get a chance to type on it yet but I can already tell that the fold out feet and angled stabilizers are useless, on my desk the board slides around with ease. Knock on wood I don't hear any squeaks out of any keys.

Useless o_O? Is your table made out of lubricated glass? I use the board propped up and it takes quite a lot of force to move it. It's not LOCKED into place like the Realforce but it takes much more force than I'd ever use to type on it.

Easy solution to slipping feet.  (As Ripster and others have recommend in the past.)  Works great yet cheap enough that I didn't really feel that bad about cutting it to fit my keyboard tray:

Indeed.  While I was waiting for the Ripper to ship, I had to use BEIGE shelf liner because it's all the Ace Hardware by my office had.  Very embarrassing.

I may as well have been sitting in MW's chair.

I swear I read a post by someone "in the know" who claimed that the pull out feet did NOT need rubber because the base design is SO much more stable compared to the Filco. I use a "roll out" keyboard tray attached to my desk, it is made of processed wood with some sort of finish applied to it. Nothing crazy or out of whack with my keyboarding surface.

Well I give up.  I've recorded a video (albeit w/my phone, but enough to slake your leopold lust), but from the office I can't seem to upload the thing anywhere.  My youtube and flickr transfers keep failling.  I really, really tried.

Edit:  Well, i managed to get dropbox to take it.  So here's a link to the download.  It's 40mb, and about a minute long.  i'm also REtrying to upload to youtube again after attempting to fix whatever was preventing my upload.  Enjoy.

Edit:  YouTube finally figured out how to receive my video.

Thanks

"Just a sidenote, you may ask why the rubber on the fold-out feet of the FILCOs was scrapped in the Leopold design. On the FILCO it was necessary to compensate for the fact that the front rubber feet barely provided any traction when the back feet were folded out (due to the angle the front pads are mounted at). The rubber fold out feet were a band-aid that had the occasional side effect akin to getting your foot stuck in between some rocks, wherein you could end up with a broken ankle; so with the Leopold design the rubber on the foldout feet was removed and more traction was added with a second set of front feet that have full contact with your desk while the back feet are folded out. Who knew Topre had it right from the beginning! R&D sometimes saves money down the line;)"

I don't know....

Got the blues today, aw yeah!  I have tried it on a number of desks today and haven't had it slide around at all, at least not while I'm typing.  I did have to clean one desk because moving one keyboard to put the Leopold down revealed a rather nasty case of dust jackrabbits.

So that's what I'm saying, is your desk clean, man?
