So I missed that somehow, was looking under *, but still confused because the description at the top says "RETRO keys in lightblue on white or light grey, Modifiers in lightblue on dark grey" is the default.

If I want these on grey, how do I specify?  Or will these be white?  Did the option here get removed?

I believe 25 is the minimum for each kit/item.  My understanding is that anything with less than 25 orders will be dropped from the buy.  So, order everything you want -- you won't get stuck if there isn't sufficient demand.

not worried about getting stuck with something,  i just want to see if theres something else interesting that is already guaranteed or close to it.

Just order RETRO/STD87 and you will get mosty of what is shown in that picture floating around in this thread.  Blue on lightgrey/grey is the default color.

Just order. If everybody thinks like you, no one ever will order something. If the price turns out to be too high (because of too few orders), you can jump off before we pull the trigger on this.

These prices are only valid if there are as many key caps ordered as we had in Round 3 (around 50,000) and 25 sets of a kit are ordered. If there are fewer sets ordered, the price will get up a bit and when more than 25 are ordered the price will go down a bit.

Currently, the only style which will make it so far, is the RETRO style:

Remember he mentioned a followup where the GB would be lessened, honed, and turned into a more specific buy. Orders should increase a lot once that occurs.

Read up the wiki (altho long and a bit complicated) you'll find the approximate price.
Like 7bit had said, Just place the pre-order. The price will be finalized later and you can pull the plug if you decide that the price is too high for you.

Not exactly.

Almost nobody wants sphericals or ALPS keys. And BIANCO-s aren't any better. It might happen that I throw these out, because of lack of interest and concentrate everything on the RETRO style plus add-on stuff for ROUND3.

RETRO/STD87 is the identical set to OTD's "SoWaRe" right? if so I want a set or two.

Do the pricing we get with 50k key caps ordered worth all the wait?  What's the bare minimum MOQ to get these GB going?

It would be nice if you can be up front about the pricing/keycaps ordered so we can all discuss about it.

Plan C: SP sends out 2 packages, one for the US folks to someone in the US and the other for the EU and rest-world to me.
Plan D: SP does the worldwide distribution (or maybe to local groups) and gets bankrupted because of their many errors and everybody insisting that they send the replacements immediately.

It will almost look like in that photo floating around in this thread. Some color shades might be slightly different and there will be only one and not 3 different blues (as shown in the picture) for the labels.

If there where 50 sets of any Retro standard kit (RETRO/STD, RETRO/STD87 and RETRO/FULL together) sold, we could (theoretically) pull the trigger at least for this Retro style plus the extras.

Thank you for putting this group buy together. I can't begin to comprehend how much work must go into making this happen.
Unfortunately I'm struggling to put together my order/wish list.

I have a few questions that I don't think has been answered earlier in the thread.
  • The wiki states that the vim key comes in any style. What exactly is the difference between for example RETRO/VIM and BIANCO/VIM? Colors? Symbol placement?
  • What is the colors of the RETRO/RGB105/WHITE? Yes it's white text on RGB, but do RED = RCQ, GREEN = VCM and BLUE= BBJ?
  • What are the colors of CHERRYRGB105?
  • I bought keys from this group buy FINAL-Doubleshot-RGB-Set-from-SP-SOLD-OUT. I would also like something similar for my 105 keys keyboards. Is there such an option?
  • How would I order the SE kit in RETRO standard colors?
  • The RETRO style text mentions LIGHTBLUE BFQ which isn't present in the table listing available color combinations for the RETRO style. For example, can I order RETRO/APPLE/LIGHTBLUE/GREY?
  • When trying to order a blank set of BIANCO for a ISO keyboard with a 1.25 left shift. I can't find anything that would give me the extra key needed for the bottom ALP row. Except buying an entire extra ALP kit.

Could be done, but I'm afraid this group buy will go into a different direction.

I'm not sure if those many mini-kits will work out well. I should consolidate them to fat kits to get the volume needed to have reasonable prices.
Nevertheless, I add the ANTICAPSLOCK kit for now.

Yes, it will!

104 key keyboards are the current ANSI layout with 1.25 units modifiers.

CHERRYRGB101 comes with 1.5 units modifiers and 2.25 units left Shift
CHERRYRGB105 comes with 1.25 units modifiers and 1.25 units left Shift
etc.
