EKs pricing scheme always seem off to me.
-Keyboard Company lists their tenkeyless Filco models cheaper than the fullsize, where EK listed the tenkeyless higher when he had them
That was never the case, EK used to carry a Non-NKRO version of the full-size FILCO which was cheaper at cost than the Tenkeyless w/NKRO (Tenkeyless is not available without NKRO). Keyboardco does not carry the non-NKRO full size FILCO for comparison.
-Keyboard Company lists their new Topre 88 key models cheaper than the 86U, where EK has a huge markup on their 87U vs
i get it, EK is free to price his products however he pleases, but it seems like either he's getting screwed on his supply side or his customers are
Keyboard Co lists their 86U at 170 GBP, which is about $276 at the moment. EK sells it for $265. The 88U Keyboardco sells is 160 GBP, or about $260; the 88U is a new board with new an unknown amount of capital invested in it by Topre, which dictates the final price. I don't have the prices on the 88U, but an educated guess would be that Keyboardco is getting it for less than EITHER of us gets the 86U.
I get it, wanabe is free to speak as he pleases, but it seems like he either doesn't do any research, or just doesn't know what he's talking about:)
