So can you just buy the presale even if there's no stock?

Yes, same thing happened when Leopold first landed in U.S. (pre-sale only, shipment came way later lol).

Ordered one white with cherry clears :D

I'm wondering if the leopold white will actually be white or off white (beigeish)...

I remember seeing some picture a while ago of a beige leopold

I'm toying with the idea of waiting until the morning until I hear from Brian.  I really wanted a white otaku clear but may see if I can get the caps swapped or something.  Also wanted a cherry black white otaku too :(

Just bit the bullet and grabbed a white with the blues! still stoked!

edit: and the colored keycaps! aww yeah

not for the prices they go for.

really wish i had the money to pre-order one with reds. but between this portal/SC2 group buys, aluminum poker shells, RF 87U, and a filco thats being modded with ergo clears.. i dont think i can squeeze in another board without being totally broke.

You are forgetting the schadenfreude element of watching the hype drive the mob emotions up and then the realisation that a commercial mass produced product is what is on offer.

A bit like watching the Apple fanbois in action sometimes.

anyone here want to buy an white otaku keyboard and swap caps with a white lettered one?  lol - I know it makes no sense :(

I might be able to get Brian to swap caps before they are sent out :/

EDIT: just got a response from Brian - no on the clear white otaku :(...

The lettering wouldn't be such an issue if the modifiers were classic gray.

get some KBC White PBT ;3 Wonder if the white is different though, or you can just change the modifiers with Round 4, basically not a big problem ;o

The solution is to tell yourself that you'll just try the clears, and sell back the one you like less.  Then you keep both of them.

Ah, this thread finally made me come out of de-lurking mode. I just bought my first mech keyboard (Leopold TKL Brown Otaku) and after a week couldn't stand typing on anything else. Now I'm in for a black with clears. Well, at least it kept me from buying a Realforce board... for now.

the white boards are so nice. I have a black with blues but I've never felt reds or clears (my understanding is browns are close to blues but much quieter)... I'd love to get something new but have no idea how to decide. research time!

It will say "out of stock" when you try to check out if the item is OOS. The only one that gave that message was for the white in clears.
