Talk to Lin if you want a limited. She may still be able to get them. She said that other LED colors would be available later this month or next month. I was waiting for one with blue LEDs.

Woot! I just got mine in the mail! I was in the ER this morning after passing a kidney stone, so it was nice to see that magical box there when I came back. Time to unpack this baby.

Here's some pics. This is my first time with MX reds and they definitely clack less than my Filco MX browns. The backlighting is fabulous and it's going to make things so much easier on my eyes going forward. Some slight disappointment with the plate on the back - mine was awkwardly stuck to the side and bent a little bit when I pulled it off to put it back in its rightful spot. They could've done better there. Keyboard itself feels fine so far, though, but I will need to get used to the smaller Enter button. I've already missed it a couple times already. I have a feeling I'm going to be hitting FN instead of Backspace for a while too.

Anyway, here's some pics - MX reds with green backlighting.

Edit: By the way, thanks again iMav! Really appreciate you doing this and I hope future group buys go a lot smoother.

Just got my Race in the mail earlier today.

I've just noticed that the right-hand side 'Alt' key does not light up. Other boards I've seen in this thread do, and there is certainly an LED underneath (it just doesn't turn on). I've restarted my computer, plugged it into other USB ports, etc.

Picture below is of my KBT Race and Ducky 9008S. There's a red circle over the non-lit 'Alt' key.

The plate on the back with the serial number on it was also not attached. It's a bit bent on one side, and still doesn't really fit into the slot cut out for it.

While I'm glad it's finally here, the build quality on this is really questionable for me. For a board that's more expensive than my 9008S, I really expected it to be completely problem free. A broken LED and a funky title plate, not so much.

Yeah, looks like the plate on the back is an issue for at least several of us so far. I'm betting others will find their plate either not attached or stuck in some random position on the backs of their keyboards. They definitely could've done a much better job with that. Also, sucks about your alt key man - that's definitely not right, as my alt keys light up fine. =\

I'm hoping that the keyboard itself will last the test of time, especially considering how long we ended up having to wait for it. The actual typing portion so far has been great and I have no complaints in that regard, but with my luck half the lights will burn out or something

What's up with that label plate on the back? There is an obvious spot for it in the middle of the keyboad but mine was stuck up in the far top right corner.

My guess is that during shipping when the keyboards were being bounced aroun it came lose. Either that, or they just didn't give a **** and slapped it on however. It's not really attached to the keyboard, but rather they just put some sticky **** on the back of it and called it good - so, it's not going to stay in place.

That's what I was talking about before. They might as well just have left the plate off if they were going to cheap out on it.

Anyone know if there are any possible fixes to my 'alt' backlight not working? I'm considering popping it open myself and replacing the LED (as I'm gifting it to a friend). Sorta ridiculous that this isn't something they'd catch in quality control though...

honestly, given vortex's track record with customer service and QC, you're probably better off replacing it yourself. it's possible that it was just not soldered correctly too.

Still could take a while. I got my invoice on the 25th of July. Paid for it day of, and still no keyboard T_T. My friend who paid for his the same time I did got his already though. I'm not sure if I should worry that maybe mine got lost, or if it just hasn't been shipped yet.

I'm at least glad to have company in my Race-less boat. I trust that iMav is working furiously to get every keyboard delivered unharmed ASAP, eschewing even spare moments to use his own Race to type to us. :-)

It sounds like the last batch that can be shipped went out today. There were a few remaining that have issues, but they should know who they are.

Received my race with the back plate stuck to the foam wrapping.

Luckily no issues with the leds! Hopefully it stays that way.

Was there a delay from vortex on the white keycap sets?

Yes, they shorted iMav the white key caps and switched some of the switch/LEDs combinations without saying anything until after they shipped. I don't think there is an ETA.
