WHAT?!? I'm assuming that since you are one of iMav's right-hand guys that you know what is up. I was one of the first to order, way back in 2011-12, and haven't heard a peep about my Race. I even left my order as originally placed, so as not to make more work for iMav. I have been patient and abiding, but your comment above has me truly worrying now. Is there a problem with the MXBlue, GreenLED Races that I should know about? I don't think I ordered any white keycaps, so that shouldn't be holding things up.

Hey guys, quick question. I have my RACE plugged into my macbook pro, and none of the keys light up, except for the caps lock key (which only lights up when activated). Any ideas/suggestions for how I can get the key lighting to work on my macbook pro?

So I'm assuming that you actually read the instructions that came with the keyboard? To activate the backlighting you need to press FN +Z. Pressing it multiple times switches between the modes. By default, the keyboard is in an unlit state.

This is why reading the instructions on things you buy is important, kids.

Good advice, but can you blame me for being haunted? Vortex has done a really ****ty job: Delayed shipment, delayed information, Delayed keycaps, shipped damaged products, shipped keyboards with two "G" keys, and what else am I forgetting?

A young man just wants a keyboard that's not a rubber-dome, but since it's my birthday I shall be looking for some tail instead

Oh, it's okay I guess. But the main problem for me is that it's set at an angle as if you had the feet in the back down. (there are no feet) I'm a leave-my-keyboard-flat kinda guy, and short of putting something under the front edge, that's enough to ruin it. Other than that, the small shift on the right is a bit more problematic for my typing habits that I had thought. I'm sure I'd get used to that if I used it more though.

Not a bad keyboard. I just bought it for my collection more than use... though was hoping I'd fall in love. Hard to beat the solid feel of a Filco though. (Typing on a Realforce now though!)

Well, I'm back on my Filco right now as I woke up and went to type... and my RACE was completely dead. Won't light up, Windows isn't recognizing it upon re-plugging it in, etc. Plugged the Filco in and it worked fine.

All that waiting for like... a week's worth of usage. What terrible quality keyboards. I won't be buying from them again.

I would contact iMav striketh, that's just not right. I managed to fix my LED issue by pulling the LED out and resoldering it. Was a really terrible solder job at the factory.

I doubt it. I had some LED christmas lights, and they were the wrong size, I believe. It'd be more trouble than it's worth.

If you really want, I'm sure I can steanl an LED from somewhere. It'll be desoldered, and probably red or amber. LED's are pretty easy to get online, though.

Got my Race a little over a week ago (minus the white keycaps). Same thing for me: No notification, the package just came by susprise.
I think iMav is probably just very busy and can't notify everybody, but it seems like he's taking care of all orders and ships them out.
I'm sure that everybody who ordered one and doesn't have it yet will get it soon. They seem to trickle in slowly but surely.

That's right, I only made a payment when I pre-ordered (for the keyboard plus a set of white keycaps).
At some point I received an email asking to confirm my address, so I replied to that.
And then, a few weeks later, I received the keyboard in the mail.

I'm not sure which wave I'm in.

My guess is that iMav used some of the money I paid for the set of white keycaps to cover the shipping. When the white keycaps will be available, he will probably contact me (and everybody else) and ask for payment to cover the remainder of the cost.
(this is just me guessing, since I don't know anything more)
