Remember when hashbaz used to run group buys?

I just finished listening to this cool podcast about some guy name hasbaz but he's CEO of pixar and makes tools or something.

Yes, but that wasn't his whole name, "moogle." C'mon brain, remember.

There was also a guy named Tsangan, once.

It was "Moogle Stiltzkin".  He proposed the idea of a compatibility kit for Cherry doubleshots that would allow them to be used on modern keyboards.  IIRC he did an IC that got rolled into Round 3.

The original moogle kit was done in SP's standard font.  Then an enterprising young fellow called cycloverid had the brilliant idea of doing custom legends to imitate the Cherry font.  That was the second-round moogle buy.  I did an RGBY kit shortly thereafter using his legends, and then since demand for the R2 moogles was so high, I did R3.

Another very successful moogle kit buy was Quarzac's WYSE kit. I believe boost did a Tsangan WYSE, and hashbaz did another run of WYSE moogles?

Speaking of adapter kits, I'm looking for a WoB Tsangan kit if there's one out there.  Specifically 1ea 1.5u Ctrl, 1.5u Alt and 1.75u Shift; but I would take a whole kit.

Ahhh, didn't look closely at the 85|15 group buy (I can get just the mod pack). Matching that color spacebar could be tough if I don't get the full set but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

The black moogle looks good, but the beige shows some tone differences. I have one, and I just cannot stare at how different the SP caps are from Cherry GMK made ones. But well, nothing is perfect.

Well, the space bar should match the alphas, not the mods.

Still I just got an original Cherry WoB ABS doubleshot set that spacebar is the right size but not centered so it won't work on my filco. If I get the mod pack without a spacebar the space bar is going to be high profiled compared to the rest of the set. Ugghhh. I feel like keycap matching is unnecessarily difficult.

Right. Which is why, if someone does decide to run a small ANSI moogle kit with GMK, it needs to have Backspace, Tab, and Enter, as well as the usual Caps Lock, Shifts, and 1.25x bottom row mods. The Esc, F5-F8, and nav clusters aren't as necessary, since they are separated visually.

I screwed up the color on the spacebar for this buy, it was way brighter than the Cherry alphas.  For me personally, the tone difference on the modifier keys wasn't a big deal though.

Well, I tried that before but called it off due to Ivan and Photekq's buys :\

I am participating in both but neither offers the minimal/affordable, text/icon setup that I would have preferred.

I really REALLY think someone needs to do a small kit for ANSI only. Maybe around a $35 kit? 87-key layout only, or 87/86-key combined.

I assumed 2.75, 2.25, and 1.75 shifts would be in the pack already.

There is a right shift in that pack, it just doesn't have text. I guess that's all Tinlong had on hand for the photograph. Look at the top.
Anyway, I agree, this is a needed GB. I can look into it after the TA set is done.

Ivan is suppose to run a small modifiers set made by GMK.
