I wasn't gonna say anything earlier, but I could have sworn I saw that cap on deskthority on the banned from geekhack thread ( or a similar one ), posted by ripster, a month or so before this went on. I think it was a reference to iMav's password which was "maverick"?? before rootworm trashed the place.

Ripster also strikes me as the kind of guy that would organise posting from a McD's in different parts of the country.

I don't think Ripster ever posted about the maverick password, although he knew about it via PM before I posted it out in this thread among others: http://deskthority.net/geekhacker-refugee-camp-f30/geekhack-updates-t3019-360.html

I don't think he has my address. Also, I suspect he doesn't like me.

It's a little worrisome if he did get my address somehow. I don't like the idea of persons unknown stalking me.
