Coming from mx red, 45g topre is slightly heavy for me.

It's just because Topre is slightly tactile. It feels a little heavier because of that. You get the same effect with cherry browns and reds too.

Damn Glissant, can we get some pics of that in the meantime?
(Attachment Link)
My signature shows all of them, and since it's overcast right now I can't take any decent pictures with my phone =/.

Sad face... Can't wait to hear about how well they work!
Make sure to tell us how it goes, you would really change my world if all those sliders work well
been wanting a HHKB but with my favorite mx keyset

I'm going to open it up the day I get it, so I'll be sure to post my experience in the Topre sliders, MX caps-thread :)

Was about to say...Did you just buy a full board of those Topre MX sliders?  :p

I wish I had that kind of money to spend on something that isn't 100% certain to work without a little moding ;)

I got my Leopold FC660M back from Shirty who swapped the Greens in there for Clears.
It's now a perfect little quiet board with O-rings and Sorbotane mats installed. Definitely coming with me to work. <3

Also, brand new topre rubber is a bit stiff. Give it some time to break in nicely.

Diodes and resistors for my FaceW PCB.

Bob and Rusty inspecting the diodes.  Grumblegut just being himself.  I have no idea why the vendor snipped the paper holding the diodes in a roll.

1k and 1.5k ohm smd resistors...they didn't have 0805 so I got 0603 :))

Yes.. however, a bunch of caps from this board in particular won't work without modding since they have off-centre stems. It's a shame because they're thick PBT lasered in a nice layout..

Can see more on the off centre stems here : http://deskthority.net/photos-videos-f8/cherry-g81-off-center-keys-from-peacock-g81-3004lanbe-t7618.html

Received my Mad Dog Pro earlier this week. I was planning on returning them after the initial listening, but they've been growing on me throughout the week.

Hmm, so first few days they were side-by-side with HD598's at home, think I discovered I preferred open-back headphones for the separation... but I need something closed for the office so I just disregarded this part.

Then brought them to the office, had them side-by-side with my Denon D1001's and initially couldn't hear a significant difference which was a bit discouraging since the Denon's  were significantly cheaper ... so figured maybe mid-fi just isn't for me (woo, save some money)

I've listened to them a lot more since then and I'm starting to pick up on how thumpy / punchy the MD is, love it. Also, dig how (fast/reactive) the response is for what I listen to at work.

I'll get a PC eventually, and when I do, I'll build it.  However, it was very reasonably priced, and while I'm no "gamer on the go", I do like to move around the house and play games, e.g., in the room where my family is.
