is this to hold the switch still for easier switch top removal for mods,lubing,spring swaps etc. if so I need to find something like this or buy a cheap plate or something took me forever to mod just 20 switches the other day.

I've only opened a few switches with it so far, but it seems to work great.  They only offered it in one type of plastic when I ordered mine, and it's really stiff.   Hope they offer different plastic options eventually.

Got mine from https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=64115.msg1729602#msg1729602  I haven't noticed any damage to the switches yet at all.

This is just a switch opener, but I I guess you could use it to lube one switch at a time.  You should look for a lube station.

Yep! The doubleshot caps have a noticeable more amount of contrast than the dyesubs.

I like it very much as well. It changed the feel of the board a lot. It is definitely the best Topre board I have used so far now.  The set is beautiful as well! Love it.
