Star Wars X Keyboard

They got my money....

cool, i got one with the same design as well, except i picked the variation with the different colored pocket.

i'm still waiting for my samurai boba fett figure.  you got yours so early!

I'm kinda disappointed that the full size didn't fit my NCR/G80 while I've been informed that it will
but it fits one of my costar alps keyboard which is sleeveless

yeah, got it early from my regular star wars supplier in Japan :D can't wait for the Red Guard

oh that's too bad.  mine is the 60% one, and it's a super snug fit for my hhkb.  i would've liked a little more room so it would be easier to use.

yeah the red guard looks badass as well.  haha i just went through my emails and verified my preorders.  i had ordered everything except for the darth vader variant with the funny looking death star floating over his head.
a cute stray cat combination that comes out happily when you look at your face is cute

Why don't you get the older version one? the one I have
with no funny looking gold death star, I find that pretty disturbing too

Haha, I thought maybe it was a bad batch of resin or something. But yes it IS rubber. Sooooo cool!

Edit: and it may be the first artisan I've seen that goes perfectly with Triumph Adler:

Ugh that's so cool.  From a materials perspective it's super impressive to mix resin types like that (or so I assume, in this context).  I'd imagine the usual thermosets don't share the same surface properties as the rubber compound, so getting them to play nice was probably not easy.  Or I could be totally off, who knows.  Any chemists feel free to put me in my place.  ;)

Either way, nice work Binge.  Can't believe I've never seen this one until now.

I know nothing about it, but it's cool how the bottom is kindof soft while the top feels almost like a normal cap.  Very neat.

Binge, is there any more info about this one?  I looked through your sub and couldn't find any info...c'mon granpa, tell us a story!

QueasyRot and the Purple 420!

Sadly the Purple 420 is way too tight to fit on a switch. Anyone know any quick fixes or should I hit up Mr.Clackman?

Use a spare switch to press it on it and remove it a few times till it goes on all the way/is looser

That was my first attempt, it's too tight to get any switch even partially seated.

i've seen this kind of thing with some of CC's blanks.  i had to use some force, but they loosened up a little after a couple of times.

I had the same problem with my Toothache Grumpkin and you just had to really press to get it to go on, just make sure it's lined up right then really press to get it on and then more to get it to go on further, do that a few times and it should go on easier(will still be tight though).

If that doesn't work then probably try a thin Flathead like Bro suggested for Monster Mash keys.

Had a late arrival show up a while after the clacks did, thanks for the dopest Slo-Fi ever Jokrik!

I also got the 420 to work after a bit of fiddling with an exacto knife, screwdriver, and a few spare switches.

I talk to him on skype now and again, he is having arthritis problems or something similar with his hands. Doing fine sculpting is hard because of this so he was taking a break. Now that being said, it's been 2 or 3 months since I've talked to him.

Got a wonderful gift from Jokrik today, what a great guy!  Loving the color, and never seen a slo-fi in person. So cool!

Had a late arrival show up a while after the clacks did, thanks for the dopest Slo-Fi ever Jokrik!

I also got the 420 to work after a bit of fiddling with an exacto knife, screwdriver, and a few spare switches.

Merry Christmas :)

I want to type on the Japanese BS...just once...

Your signature is amazing
not the pixel art, the " x (no.) "
for 50 cents each.

I know, crazy right?  It was a used computer show that used to come through town and the guy had a huge box of keyboards for $1 each.  Well, I started going through them and found an M, then another, then another.  I asked him if he'd take 50 cents a board if I bought 10 or more.  He agreed.  And hence I've been on Ms since probably before most of the enthusiast community even existed.

Got my acceptance letter to my top choice college! I also got a NIB typewriter, but that wasn't in the mail :D.

Congrats on both!
Got some fun stuff in the mail:

Tapbots hoodie from Cotton Bureau (it's really, really comfy)

90x 55g and 62g springs from GON, and a custom sleeved USB cable to better match my keycaps

Show Image

Cherry G80-3700 HQAUS, mostly want to try different springs, sliders, and lube with this. I went and put some artisans on too

..and wait, what's this??? It's a Christmas present from ansario! He got it in the mail, wrapped it up, and came over to my place to chill and play Fallout 4. I mentioned I wanted a Ferrari F40 kit a while back when we were in a Lego store in Raleigh, and he managed to get it for me! Gonna have a lot of fun building this over the holiday break. Thanks buddy! :D

Love the Cherry numpad and the Legos.  Very jelly on the Legos.  That's exactly the set I want.

Right now my plan is Accounting, but I'm going to take some general classes my first year and see what I like the most.
If you want to really get a feel for the work, let me know.  Most of my work is accounting and bookkeeping and working with our CPAs.  If you want to 'intern' or whatever I could actually show you some of the work and let you try it and see what you think of the field.  It requires a lot of attention to detail to be good, which is also a characteristic of this hobby, so if you enjoy that aspect that's a big part of the satisfying part of the work.
