Theres been great demand for tsangan kits especially from kbdmania. We're currently deciding whether to do a quick run for the tsangan kits but we're worried the prices wont be appealing.
If you do a tsangan kit please add two keys to it, the brown on cream "`~" and "\|".

Great looking poker.  But why bother modding blacks to vintage blacks?  Seems way too much work for what you get.

Has been like a couple of weeks since I got this, but I felt it was fancy enough to post pictures a while later too. :>

1.5x mods!

Some keyblockers from an Access board to try on my Phantom (thanks a lot hoggy!), although one should note it's more beige in real life; I did alter the colour of this one afterwards.

I was rather surprised, but I think it looks better with the black ones I got:

Me too.  You said they were from an Access-IS, is it just the flat keycaps?

I'm not entirely sure, but they're flat keycaps that also work as keyblockers, and I'm 95% sure they were from an Access-IS keyboard. :>

I'll have to check it out. Signature Plastics sells flat keycaps, though I don't know if they'd work for the blocking aspect that you're talking about (unless the flat keycaps don't actually block the key.).

I think it's necessary for the keycaps to also act as keyblockers, since otherwise they'd just be flat keycaps still sitting about as high as regular keycaps. I should mention the ones from the Access boards fully depress the key (constantly!), so you would need some way to disable these keys in the firmware. I haven't really bothered to check if this is possible with the Phantom firmware I'm using, so I'm currently not using my "winkey blockers". :)

There was a thread about all these flat keycaps somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: found it!

Fully depresses the key, eh? How does it lock onto the switch? (Could you take a picture of the bottom of them?) Is it possible to use them as flat keycaps that you could actuate or are they just permanently bottomed out?

That's beautiful, Gupgup. I'm jelly :). Never even gotten around to trying a board with buckling springs, but that's because the SSK is the only board I would ever spend money on, and it's hard to get the one I want without going broke :)).

Oh and they are technically not in the mail yet, but I am hoping for some pretty amazing brobots. I'll post again when I know more ;).

Got a Wang keyboard.   :))

15153-0 15155-1

Not quite sure what technology it is, or what I'll do with it, but that's why they call 'em projects.

15157-2 15159-3

Looks like double-shot keycaps, with a spring under the cap and an unfamiliar post.  No perceptible click, but the switches look like they're plate-mounted, there is a PCB board visible below the top metal plate.

15161-4

The case is really pretty clean, not sure if the seller took it apart or if it just hadn't had any use.  PCB says Keytronic, and the sticker implies it was made in 1987.  Odd transformer object dominates the back of the board, there's a padded recess in the case to accommodate it, and possibly speaker openings.  Audible signal gizmo of some sort?  Big cable, lots of little wires, looks like an old printer connector.

15163-5 15165-6 15167-7

Oh, and I also got a NIB Unicomp 122-key board, plus the little Cherry ML board that finally arrived from the Ebay sale we all jumped on.  It is such a tiny keyboard, I think I'm going to use it for travel, so I don't have to type on the laptop keys.   ;D

I was going to, but I'm having technical difficulties with my camera at the moment. The lens won't retract and an error pops up when I turn it on. As soon as I figure that out, I'll send the pics.

greystroke, the transformer like object is most likely a solenoid (like in a doorbell) to generate a noise when keys are pressed.

I should post pictures of my hall effect keyboard with tripleshots here sometime.
