100g spring
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

62g is a little heavier than 55g found in Brown/Blue/Red. It's for people who want light, but not as light as 55g. Also, it seems to be the most popular choice for ergo-clear mod.

The springs found in brown/blue/red are 60g bottom out force which is the chart that all the other korean springs go by.

Thus it's 2g heavier, which is the "perfect" amount.

Honestly, do people notice a gram or two difference when typing? Or is it just to have a weird, non-standard actuation that gives a placebo effect that you can tell a difference, while still being rare and cool?

I think it's noticeable.  Also these gold coated springs from sprit are heavier than their silver-toned counterparts for those springs that I've compared.  60g sprit springs are closer to 62g springs from Originative than to "60g" stock Cherry "light" springs.  62g sprit gold springs are heavier than 62g springs from Originative.  55g sprit springs are slightly lighter than stock Cherry "light" springs.  I imagine other types are similar.

Most people might not notice it. I for sure can notice it and have given mini live demonstrations for others at KeyCon.

The main idea is that for whatever reason it significantly helps the Clear stem not "stick" like how it does with 60g.

Putting blue springs in a clear was so weird, with light caps, it was extremely snappy but with heavy caps it stalled a bit

The original 60g light springs from Cherry (blue, brown, red) are very good for modding Ergo Clears, especially when we lube the sliders carefully. If we use low viscosity ones, they will be in great condition but if we use high viscosity lubes, the sticky symptom may appear in some switches randomly.

Ahhh this makes sense now, although I've only had issues with ergo-clears prior to lubing. Afterwards no more stick. It'd be cool to try a 62g on the spacebar as opposed to a Panda though, just for a little more oomph. :D

From my experience, it's noticeable and obvious. Plus, the 62g spring and original 60g from Cherry have different structures and coins so they generate different style of feeling when we type. That doesn't count the fact that the 2g difference possibly will avoid the sticky feeling and spring degradation over the time.

When I did that it was with factory lube, no extras. But it looks like theres too much variablility between the springs so Id prefer to use something guarenteed to work

Got my Panasonic 20mm 1.7 today.

Sharp.
If today had been a hippo, then you'd really have to worry about tomorrow.

I love the original MX Blue/Brown springs, but I miss something always.  I have tried to fill that in my 50g~70g.  ;)
As You noticed,  my 50g~70g work more like Vintage Black springs than MX Blue/Brown stocks.
I tried to add some more tightness and stability (these are a little bit missing in Blue/Browns, I may be drunken, but IMHO) to mines.
But sure they are Not perfect at all.  might be better or worse Next time.    I expect You Guys' harsh criticism.

I may feel my girl gets 2kg heavier,   'cause I love her, always pay attention to her.    (I guess, She weighs 80kg now.)   ;)

So basically what happened was that the swedish postal services screwed up, lost my package and decided not to take any responsability whatsoever. Bummed out as i was i asked WASD support if they could file a claim through USPS. At this point i recieve an email from WASD saying that instead of going through the hassle of filing claims everywhere they could replace the keyboard and send me a complete new one! For free! I just find the level of custumer support amazing when they decide to do something like this that is even when it is completley out of their responsability! And as for the keyboard, amazing!

A nice ending :)

The orange and green combination is oddly compelling :)
