Ahhh, I totally missed out on that Caustic Window KS.  And probably a good number of other things.  I think the latest of his that I listened to was Druqks or maybe Analords.

But anyways, thanks!  I haven't listened to AFX for awhile, besides Come to Daddy.  I love that song to bits.

First I'm hearing of it, so looks like I missed out too. Dang!

I totally would've backed that kickstarter project.

it was pretty well publicised amongst the internet music sites...including Pitchfork, and MTV.

also Notch ended up buying it on eBay after the Kickstarter was completed

Just goes to show how disconnected I am.

Nothing but work, keyboards, work, work, keyboards, work.

I suppose wishing isn't going to get me that album anytime soon. Speaking of wishing…

I wish the milkman would deliver my milk.

Honestly, me either. The only reason I really wanted to try one was because I got it for next to nothing. I'm not going to complain at getting a cheap pre-production unit with the only stipulation being that I have to provide feedback and can't show it to anyone.

Wow!  Congratulations!  Excellent find :)

I dream of find ann industrial SSK one day, although I'd be quite happy with a normal SSK.

PS. Typed on my Model M - all this SSK talk recently made me nostalgic for the M, but now I am getting sidelong glances and closed doors as it is bed time.

PPS 43

The child of the famous PPSH-41 sub-machinegun.

This was produced in 1944, serial 494, (first 500 made :D Limited editon) Also the oldest thing I own... I think
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How many keyboards could you have bought instead?

This is the only question that can be asked here.

How many Clacks could you have bought instead?

One.  The answer is always one.

It cost me £140 (plus premium) so like half a clack? :))
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)
