Pacifist has disappeared from this forum. You could however find others' opinions on this board most definitely

I don't think he is going to be around to reply, perhaps someone else will see your post and be able to help you.

I did a quick google search and didn't find the answer  :)

he didn't like it. he said it was too tall and too heavy for him. he wanted a board he could carry around, so going for a board in an alu case wasn't too smart :p

Got this, but it doesn't work after two minutes of tinkering (either via USB or PS/2):

Keys with it fit, but don't turn the lock, which might be the biggest issue. Has MX black switches (59 of them). It's AT, but I've tried it on PS/2 with a connector and USB with another. No dice. :(

I wasn't as bad but I have taken GON and Kaliet boards to Starbucks and what not when I needed to get work done.  If you include the keyset price, it is quite a bit of moolah to be carrying around in the form of a keyboard.

More Leopold PBT key-caps and some DUBS.

Been thinking about ordering the white Leopold caps.  Have you used DUBS before?  I saw them on (I think) uncrate.com, and thought they sounded like something I would want to try.

As it turns out DUBS are kind of ****. If you get a proper seal they work. They seemed to distort sound less than most earplugs but the rubber tips are too small for me to have them stay in and sealed during a concert.
The other and bigger problem is that didn't have some sort of substantial keyed ridge for the tips to grip like most earbuds and earplugs of this type instead they just used a small dab of glue...
You end up with the tip in your ear and the plug in your hand...

Even if they were going to replace them, I wouldn't use them, I want more than glue holding the tips or a shaft I can grab like my Surefires.

Finally got around to opening my recently arrived packages.  Group shot (more to follow when there is better light):

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

not upon delivery, but the last time I dealt with getting something shipped via FedEx from overseas, FedEx hit me with a charge a few weeks after delivery separately. I'm expecting something to come through later.

Pretty much. I have 20, the project will get 12, the 4 keepers get one each, soooo... ;)

Which means that I obviously get one of the remaining 4.  :p

Thank you Ivan!

It took me far too long to realize that that's a GH on the cap.

Got this, but it doesn't work after two minutes of tinkering (either via USB or PS/2):

Show Image

Keys with it fit, but don't turn the lock, which might be the biggest issue. Has MX black switches (59 of them). It's AT, but I've tried it on PS/2 with a connector and USB with another. No dice. :(

You should be able to simply jumper the connection on the key switch... or replace the key switch with a simple 3 way knob or similar. I've done so on some other POS keyboard that had key which the keys were lost to, not too hard to get it to work. Additionally... the thing may not have any programming on it either.
