Just waiting on my cherry stickers, springs and LEDs from Seth, need to get some clears too.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Got a 3'x1' "Reflex Lab" mousepad and a SteelSeries Rival fade edition. The pad is wider than my tiny desk so I have half a foot of it hanging off the left side. It's stitched so no more edges peeling up like on my QCKs, and I didn't expect it, but it feels much nicer than the QCKs as well - like an upgrade in thread count or something, much smoother. The rival has been on my eye since it came out, but I try not to buy asymmetrical mice. The first revision had QC problems so I'm glad I haven't til now. I found a 10% off code for this so I don't feel too bad about getting the stupid rainbow edition. Initial impressions: I don't really like asymmetrical mice. The mouse cord and buttons feel cheap. The buttons have a lot of flex, you could barely press on them from the sides and get them to scrape each other. The mouse wheel isn't tight or tactile enough. The middle mouse button takes a bit too much force to press. The buttons on the side are really good but should be moved back at least half an inch. My hands would probably be classified as being on the larger side and even then, unless I give it the tightest palm grip ever, I simply can't reach the further away side button without readjusting how I'm holding the mouse or turning it left enough to reach it with my thumb - and I'm not even claw gripping it, I'm just holding it with a palm grip but I slide my hand back.. not even half an inch so I can plant my wrist on my desk. In-game, it performed very well. I have plenty of other mice with Avago sensors, so I knew to expect good performance, but I was still surprised by how well the Rival tracked.

Silenced topre-mx sliders > Purple realforce sliders

But other than that, noice. How do you like the Japanese board?

Board is nice! Probably will sell though after I swap the sliders.

Are the silent purple mx sliders the same length is the silent topre sliders?

Only reason I went for purple topre slider is that they are slightly longer so the silent ring doesn't effect tactility.

I'm not quite sure what the length of the CTRL alt sliders are yet, but Hyperspheres silencing rings shouldn't affect the tactility pretty much at all.

I have a set of his rings. It did effect it for me :( they made the tactility feel to linear for me. I decided to just go for the silent switches since they are made with that in mind. These switches feel exactly like they feel without the silence rings but offer the silenced sound!

Though, comapring the stock rings to hypers rings, they are very close. Hypers rings are only slightly thicker and I am talking by a hair length. So the rings are not the problem, just the plunger design on the silent ones accommodate for the extra room the rings take up.
