Today was a bit of a motherload for me. Still not really sure what to do, outside of just sitting here and pondering what I'm doing with my life...

I got an HHKB Lite 2 from Amazon today. I haven't any clue what the haters are on about. This is an excellent keyboard, especially for the price. The domes are the most Topre-like I have ever tried. If all rubber domes were like this, the world would be a different place. I almost wonder if they've changed the internals. Some old reviews of the Lite 2 say the domes are super stiff and increase linearly in force. These are nothing like that.

The dye looks good.  I was toying with this idea for a build.  I'm assuming it was pretty straight forward?

Yup.  I dyed the housings in my ultrasonic cleaner with ~145F water because they're supposedly made out of nylon and I didn't want to risk them on the stovetop.

Not that I noticed.  Then again, I'm the one who talks about the vintage black placebo effect and doesn't notice a striking difference like some claim between Gaterons and Blacks.

That's a cool idea, and it looks great.  But that is quite a bit above the Tg for nylon.  Did you you have any warping or opaque-ing issues?

I think it cooled down to 125F by the time I actually put it in, but I can't remember the exact temp.  No warping that I noticed.

It's amazing. 62g vintage ergo clears are probably my new favorite MX switch, hard to say if I enjoy it more than Topre. Really shines on a set of DSA caps, might get a GMK/Cherry set one day. My first reaction picking it up: f*** this is heavy. I have a glass-tempered desk and it actually pushes the entire glass down on the support frames it's that heavy....I love it. I will enjoy it 100x more once I get a proper spacebar on Friday!

64 Slim, it seemed more maneuverable than the Fat Boy. It's on 2 now and I don't think I could cut myself if I tried. 3 is kind of iffy.

Really, mine is also J1. The TTO action is crazy smooth for something this old, I think I'd be able to pass it down to a grandkid after using it for another sixty years.

I don't intend to go buy thirty razors but I did a bit of research on Badger and Blade and their community seems a lot like this one. Replace "typing feels" with "shaving feels" and it's just about identical.

Got my Jukebox set in. Was nervous it wouldnt turn out well, feels weird finally seeing in in person so many months after I started designing it. Still waiting on all my extra kits to arrive, so I had to make due with just the base kit. Still curious to see how the novelties came out

Where the EXIF data at?

I wanna know where all that grain came from.  :P
