Thanl you :D seems like the board was never used and stored away to collect dust since neither the case nor the caps have any yellowing/shine on them, just dust which was cleaned off :)

A couple hundred dental bands.. I'm not sure whether to use them or wait until I can afford some hypersphere rings.

I'm itching to lube and silence my HHKB though, to complete my ghetto Type-S.  :))

Boards:
Silver 84-key KMAC LE, 62g lubed & stickered ergo-clears, GON NerD PCB, polycarbonate plate,MX lock/Phosphorglow IBM Model M SSK 1391472/White HHKB Pro 2, Hasu controller/WKL Phantom, 50g vintage blacks, MX lock
Leeku G80-1800 (build in progress)

Definitely recommend waiting. Hypersphere's rings are definitely worth it. Lubing takes care of a majority of the noise in the first place, I'd recommend doing that before anything.

I got some JTK WoB in the mail. I used it on a Noppoo EC108, which is going to be for my mom. Great high contrast and, it kinda reminds me of a Stormtrooper.  :)

Yeah it was a cheaper one but the reviews are great, and something I can easily spend 45 min a day on after work while watching Netflix. Will help me get into the groove again if anything!

Thanks for the tip! I think I will wait. I only really want to take the board apart once (Topre looks finicky once it's taken apart), plus I know I'll want the silent upstroke of the rings for typing at school so I'd rather not take it apart just to lube. I shall be patient, even though I really want to mod this board.  :))

Trust me I've been waiting a while for the headphones! I got a modmic the other day, really annoyed at the latency when live monitoring though through windows, the noise cancelling as well seems a little too much, like there is a fairly high noise gate on it. Overall a good product though.

You got the white one!  Cool :)

I would have jumped on that like a shot had it been available when I was looking a while back.

What do you think of it?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Oh noes! Our little son turned on the stove while the purchasing and some other things like the post was lying there and we almost catch fire! There was a lot of smoke, half of the bread smelled burnt and we throw it away, and also this message from the postman was there... I know what it was (two Bro Caps), and I hope I can explain everything at the post office tomorrow. It is like you are trying to explain your teacher why you did not do your homework! The bar code of the package was on the right side of the paper...

A big box from the UK and a small box from China (Poker 2 for scale).

The smaller box contained the clear plastic case I ordered for my Poker 2 a couple of weeks ago.

The bigger box, which is a late birthday present I bought for myself, contained a lot of bubble wrap and this smaller box.

And inside of that there was more bubble wrap and this fantastic looking drinking glass

Some of you might recognize it from what is arguably the best cyberpunk movie ever made.

Wow, I couldn't recognize him from that photo. I'll add it to my list of movies to watch.

I keep wishing I had that glass, but it's like £100 and I don't like whiskey and don't really drink spirits other than shots... It is really nice though
