Looks nice.  :) Feels really bad though... I think these RGB clear gateron tops are also bad and don't work with cherry profile keycaps. I swear.... This is like 100 dollars straight down the drain and so so many hours of time wasted from all these garbage gateron products.

I feel the hatred building up by days, so is that the new tops production?
I'v e just finished putting together my vintage blacks with clear top, it looks amazing though
but now I've doubt
I'm salty, tho at this point I am not 100% on what is causing this problem as the keycaps were scratching on my numpad that I put the cherry tops back on (that has no problems with the Triumph Adler GMK caps). Really no idea what is going on there lol.. So it might be the keycaps, I just have to look into it later. They aren't catching like those frosted gateron tops, but rather they are scratchy/rubbing. I'll figure it out eventually.

The fact that the GMK caps aren't doing this but the JTK were is interesting. I guess the most simple thing to do is put my TA caps on the 60% and see what happens. No time to worry about this now lol

The keyboard LOOKS nice, but it should also be able to feel nice to type on as well haha

Do let me know the result,
Due to my stupidness when modding the case I'm now left with semi broken pcb, where the led indicator on the locks does not lid nor work
somehow one of the smd at the back got peeled off due to interference with the case, it's too late to fix now

Okay.... while I didn't get this keyboard case in the mail today, I got it for Christmas and I'm in love with it. GH user Switchnollie made it for me cause meme's and nice people. She also sent me chocolates, god bless :). But today in the mail, I did get my paramedic license, and some hair gel (not pictured)

THANK YOU SO MUCH SWITCHNOLLIE, THEE OF THE BEST GIFTS I GOT ALL XMAS

Show Image

See, this is one of the reasons I love getting on here--the amazingly wonderful people.  Way to go SWITCHNOLLIE for making someone this happy and Bigpock for being someone that deserved it this much. :thumb:

I find myself attracted to this image of your artisans.  :thumb:  Would you consider submitting it for inclusion in The Keyboard Coffee Table Book?  Link's in my sig.

I'll submit a few pictures, just saw your project!
Thank you!  Can't wait to check in on the project.  Work has got me hustling!

ooo...so got my first Topre in the mail.  Wasn't really impressed though.  It might take some time.  It definitely will take a bit to get used to the Japanese layout (it's the Japanese board that Bromono got for the silencers).

Also got a bunch of work stuff, but it still feels like Christmas every time I see a CDW box, lol.  UPSes getting fixed today--yay!

This thing sure is... interesting. I do enjoy typing on it, although this layout is absolutely bizarre. Gonna need some work. I also have no idea what F13-24(!) are for. 123856-0

102 key alps IBM japanese lettered keyboard. Heavy linear switches and sculpted sphericals, pretty great for 40 bucks.
Not sure what exactly I want to do to this thing, I'm considering trying to make a chop job 70% but that'll require some extensive hand wiring and case modification.

EnjoyPBT (Gateron) sets. Really nice except for the fact that they never corrected the ****ty 6.25x spacebar spacing so it's unusably sticky

dude, how did you get yours so quickly?  my order just switched to "ordered" status today.

black cyrillic looks awesome.  that sucks about the spacebars though. :(

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It is worse when you are forced to have gas and electricity concurrently because the house has a gas stove/oven, yet you barely use stove but have to pay a daily fee just for having it on. Its like getting two bills for the same thing. I know gas is supposed to be more efficient but I was getting a gas bill that was half my electricity for something I barely used.

We have electric stove, and gas water heater and heating. The gas bill goes through the roof during winter.

Gas heating may be a good trade, I had to option at my old house but I just stuck to the installed air conditioners and jumpers/warm cloths and the electricity was pretty good. not to much of a shock.

New house has gas stove and water heater but it is from a cylinder not piped in so I think there is only a filling charge

Yeah I figured thats why it had them in the past, but it doesn't really explain why the default TMK keymap includes them... Seems like whoever wrote it up got lazy.

This awful little Deltaco wireless numpad. The mush is strong with this one. Luckily I won't be using it very often.  :-X

I never use a numpad really, and honestly as much as id love a 23U I just cant justify spending the money one just to "have one"

looks decent enough to at least keep on the desk  :thumb:

It's a ZD-985 desoldering station!
http://www.memotronics.com/vacuum-desoldering-rework-station-digital-temperature-controlled-dual-lcd-new/

I just used it to pull some PCB mounted vintage Cherry MX Blue switches. I went from this...
123988-1

...to this, in well under 20 minutes!
123990-2

We'll see how well it holds up over the long term. I do have a replacement parts kit for it (in a plastic baggie taped to the back of the station if you look closely in the photo).

One of the few FFs I haven't played. I played VII and, while it was good, I didn't think it was that great. Then again, I played it a decade after its relased.
X is my favorite in the series, and my favorite game of all time.

I bought a goldtouch numpad for work and I love the thing, you can get one for under 20 bucks off ebay. Clearly you NEED one!  :p

I actually haven't played it either. The discs are okay, but they just need a little wipe here and there. I'm looking forward to playing it. :thumb:

YUP. THE best FF game.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?
