I get really bad eye strain after playing 3-4 hours consecutively, so there's me.

Like I said, the only thing I buy about Gunnar's marketing is that they reduce eye strain. I think the rest of that stuff is BS (inb4 Buckling Spring).

Eye strain depends on how long you're on the computer, where your brightness is set, what kind of a screen you have, etc.

You're right, it does help with the eye strain. It took me a while to get used to them (I wear contacts too) but Missalaire nonchalantly convinced me to try mine again and as time wore on, I became used to them. They also help at work (if you're into that) under the fluorescent lighting.

Right, but you can get that same stuff (probably better), in normal regular glasses for blind people like me.

Like I said, the best way to reduce eye strain is through the yellow tinted lenses (I honestly don't know if Monitor glare plays into it, since if I ever get it, I never notice it), and the only way to get prescription glasses with yellow tinted lenses is through Gunnar... I don't know if they can make lenses for better quality frames, but they do offer prescription support.

We should probably just turn this into a completely different thread to avoid threadcrapping.

It's not, I have learning problems and my local optician (not my normal optician) tried to prescribe me some yellow coloured lenses to help with reading or something.. they weren't Gunnar's ...

We should probably just turn this into a completely different thread to avoid threadcrapping.

I guess, but there isn't much more to say lol, being special I've tried all kinds of dumb **** to try and help while I was at school (years and years ago), coloured lenses where on that list ;)

I also have 8GB. Some use the extra RAM to create a RAMDISK to increase performance in games that require a lot of pre-loading.

I have 16GB because it was dirt cheap.  I use some of it for a RAMDisk.  I also might get back into heavy duty photo editing like I used to back in the day, so it's nice for when I have a ton of large pictures open or I'm stitching together some RAW images.

My Keycool 84 with MX clears arrived the other day (bought from Keycool's Taboao store via the Taobao Focus forwarding/proxy site). The board itself feels lovely & sturdy, but the keycaps are a bit of a disappointment, at least compared to the dual-short Cherry caps I've been using for the past years on my G80s. Unfortunately I can't replace all of them with dual-shot caps from my collection of G80s, as a few are a different size/shape (including the space bar, right shift, enter & backslash) so I'm going to stick with the original caps for a while & see how I get used to it. This is my work keyboard atm, if I decide I like it I might buy another to replace my G80 with MX clear at home :)
